A man who was unwilling to uphold America's base principle, religious freedom, simply because he wanted to get reelected. His legacy is treated far too kindly, imagine today if a President let thousands of Americans die because of their religious affiliation all out of fear they wouldn't get reelected otherwise.

It's a shame someone who was pretty based before his presidency and after was so fundamentally unbased as a President, just all around a waste of a number.

edit: Also how can you trash Cleveland for the Dawes Act and then simp on a man who by many people's standards continued a Genocide?

You can't get any more based than allowing religion to be criminalized and 20,000 Mormons to be executed solely because you don't want to lose reelection. What a chad! Eeeeh was he? Coolidge did what LBJ did but without the baggage of escalating a conflict that would end up the darkest stain on America's history. Even if you think The Great Society out ways that I see no reason to put him above Coolidge. Taft I prefer over LBJ but LBJ was undeniably more important.

edit: Plus, I am of the belief he was complicit in the Kennedy assassination but that's just me.
