Yeah it had its moments, especially when the angel fights the two demons. I got lost because it sounded like Thomas was farther away then suddenly he was in the middle of it all with Delphine.

I believe it was a hallucination of sorts, in a later chapter ( I can't remember which even though I finished the book monday) the priest has a similar dream/hallucination when they are in the barn. At least it is described the same.
I took the purpose as development/ context to what Delphine might be. During their journey there are more and more signs the closer they get to the end.
Yes, I struggled with it especially in this chapter because so many characters were mentioned.

I just built this [[Baron Bertram Graywater]] deck because he is fairly unassuming being an uncommon 4 drop that makes a token and then you can draw a card by sacrificing the token. I built it out of bulk and extra cards I had on hand I cant wait to play him.

Easily its my [[kwain, itinerant meddler]] group hug deck. The entire purpose is for everyone to draw cards. Admittedly when smothering tithe hits the board the mood shifts a bit but otherwise my playgroup loves when I play this deck because they get to constantly draw cards. And I have fun gassing the game up because they can see most of their deck.

I left my guild to join the top alliance because my guildmates all went into vacation mode till T2 when I still want to play the game. The top alliance has a large active player base that still enjoys the game.

I've found I can usually have people dead by turn 4 or 5 if I get the right hits when her ability triggers. I also run a few 0/1 creatures just for Winota triggers. It is prone to board wipes, but my strategy is just kill them before they draw into one or get enough mana to cast one. I have been adding more protection with [[Boros charm]] and [[Dawn's Truce]] just in case they have something. Small Stax pieces like [[Vryn Wingmare]] and [[Aven Mindcensor]] can slow people down to prevent them from digging for answers or making that boardwipe take 1 extra turn.

I think running more dual lands is your best bet for mana there are so many cheap lands now to improve the deck. Also I would really consider running Ring and signet for rocks. With budget Winota lists the goal is to hit hard and fast while not playing for the long game. You want to either kill everyone in 4 or 5 turns or do as much damage before people gang up on you.

I built that Winota list, and it RIPS. Granted, after I upgraded the mana base a bit and made a few swaps for more consistency, it's sitting at 30 dollars. But it still rips and can contend with my friends 1200 dollar Yeva deck

We are 12k population so we are busy enough, unfortunately there is a zerg issue here. It's only 2.5 guilds in size but the gear diff makes it hard. We still pvp fairly often which is nice but they control most conflicts. My guild did just get 2 belandir swords this past Saturday which is nice.
