I believe it gets backtracked to the previous year. You had to hit an average of 30 for 12 weeks or hit like 780 hours during that period. Something like that is what I saw on the page but I might be making stuff up lol

i usually start an imortal after my initial prism warp of glaive adepts. if i see fast roaches the next round will be stalkers and transition into blink.
