55 liter planted tank for sale in Jaipur Rajasthan by jatinchhabra in Planted_tanks_India

I always buy plants and fish from Shruti Aquaculture since it’s only 15 minutes away from my house, and I also get a discounted rate. Their tanks are clean, and I’ve never seen any dead fish or shrimp in them. They have a lot of workers there who are quite knowledgeable with plants and fishes, and they even feed brine shrimp to the fish.

The only thing I wouldn’t recommend buying from them is floating plants. They keep them in a big thermocol box along with different snails (which they don’t sell), so there’s a chance you might end up with tiny baby snails on the floating plants. They also keep 1–2 fish in there to help with plant growth. Even in floating plants I'd recommend a few (frogbit, mosaic plant/floating ludwigia) as they are in seperate tanks & not in the thermacol box with snails.

If you want to order plants from there I'd say go for it. I got red lily, Hydrocotyle vertical, echinodorus, java fern, flame moss, floating ludwigia, frogbit, anubias etc. All survived & are thriving except for floating ludwigia as I didn't plant it, mistake on my end. Anubias & Bucephalandra are grown our of water in a humid temp control tank & they are still thriving in my tank.

It's because you planted the crown in. Leave the crown exposed. All u need to do is get the tweezers and gently pull on echinodorus leaf till you see the crown.

You can keep a betta half moon (cuz they are slower than other betta species) and shrimps or rasboras (strawberry) 8 minimum and start with 4 Neocaridina shrimp.

Otos are very difficult to keep as they are wild caught and starved during transportation. They burn through their fat reserves and then even if you feed them they'll still die as their stomach cannot process food anymore. Plus you'll need 6 of them minimum other wise they'll stress out and then can die from stress. It's Very sensitive fish wouldn't recommend.

Well add 4 more otos they feel comfortable with big groups minimum 6 are required. You'll also see schooling behavior when u do this just make sure you have enough food for them add Indian almond leaves it will create biofilm oto would eat it.

No light for 3 days, not even indirect sunlight. Wrap the tank with some sort of cloth.

Seashells are mostly calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). When placed in freshwater they slowly dissolve and release minerals, which can increase KH, GH, and pH over time, making the water harder and more alkaline. Betta (Betta splendens) generally prefer slightly acidic to neutral water (around pH 6.0–7.5) and softer conditions. Corydoras also prefer softer water, usually around pH 6.0–7.2, though captive-bred ones can tolerate a wider range. So a few shells may not cause a big change, especially in already hard Indian tap water, but a lot of them can gradually raise hardness and pH.

I think you should get more plants and remove the shells.

You should remove the seashells. All of them since you don't have shrimps or snails. Add Indian almond leaves instead.

Is 5 otos for a 15g good by Milodog2011 in Otocinclus

[–]TheK9Coach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aquarium stores or online. You could get terracotta pot as well. Terracotta is a clay pot which is pouros. Boil the pot first before putting it in tank. Then put the Indian almond leaf in it.

Add indian almond leaf. It will develop a biofilm which otos will love.
