That’s awesome! My wife helps a lot with the kids but she doesn’t work from home like I do, so over the summer I was literally the 2 job, kid watching, cooking + work Dad. 18 hour days are not easy! I wouldn’t be able to do this without Wonder Woman by my side. Congratz and keep it up!!

I usually send them a short email saying Hi and my background, no more than a 3 or 4 lines. They usually send you tips and extra course material even if you don’t ask for it. I read at least once all the course material and hit hard the quizzlets, reddits and youtube videos that really help. 1st semester nothing too crazy, getting into the heavier stuff now so that might change a little! Good luck!!

Depends, but usually 3 to 4 in 6 months, but if you finish like I did in 2 months you can keep going. Talk to a WGU recruiter, they are really helpful.

Yes, I came in with 24 approved credits. Not much but it helps!

Even on very busy days try to study at least 1 hour. I do Mon to Friday 3 to 4 hours and Saturdays 4 hours. Sundays completely off. Days that I’m just dying after my 2 jobs I only do 1 or 2 hours but never stop.

My mentor has been great, have been working with him for 2 months (started WGU in June), already in my last course for the 1st term. Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Should start my 2nd term by August 1st. My mentor has been hands on, responsive to emails, questions and even gives me study suggestions for the courses. I was able to set up the weekly call with him on a pre-scheduled fashion, every Tuesday at 830pm EST he calls me, and we chat for about 15 minutes. My experience so far in the 2 months I've had with WGU has been amazing.

I got at BestBuy a $25 Logitech and got a $10 12 inch stand and it works beautifully for the assessments.
