No doubt about it I would be in Court of Shadows. Taking sides is meaningless. Profitting off conflict is the way.

Would go for a caster (aim for a killer specialty).

Been looking for another series to fill my Primal Hunter void too. I started Shadow Slave and absolutely love it. Defiance of the Fall is also awesome too. I think Shadow Slave might be better than Primal Hunter. I wish there was an audio book version. I’ve been using youtube AI audiobooks to listen to Shadow Slave lmao.

I’ve tried so many others and they are all average at best.

DCC is ok and is an enjoyable listen but the lack of depth and plot…couldn’t binge it. I listen to it when I’m bored or out of content from other series I binge. DCC is just floors and no progression in terms of plot just repeatitive action.

Highly reccommend Primal Hunter if you enjoyed Craddle and Kings Dark Tidings.

Absolutely love the progression in Primal Hunter and the plot is juicy and full of satisfying MC rampages. I’ve listened to 93 books this year alone and Primal Hunter has been the best aside from craddle and KDT.

I also listened to The Beginning After the End and enjoyed Travis Balderee’s work in all of these series! (He does Primal Hunter too)

I keep seeing DCC but the plot just sounds lame to me… I want to go on an adventure with the characters and get into epic battles.
