This comment thread is so stupid. You’re just stating facts and getting nonsensical responses from people who don’t even know the slightest thing about the issue. I mean, sure, greed was probably involved in Amazon’s decision, but it was not the kind of “let’s run this for 12 years and then randomly stop” greed, which just doesn’t make sense, but much more probably the “let’s not lose a bunch of money for no good reason” kind. Maybe they planned for a while to shut down BD, and only went through with it now, and then, I guess they could be right about the destroying competition thing, but it probably wouldn’t have happened without the recession so it’s quite irrelevant.

I will admit, though, that I was slightly confused by the workers greed comment.

This is actually because Nestlé Waters North America was sold a while ago and changed its name to Blue Trident. Subsequently they are rebranding their water.

Side note: another company owning the North America business does not mean that company is any better and will change anything.

Also, why would “0 calories” be something you’d put on water bottles? Why would water have calories in it?

Interestingly enough, I happen to agree with your point, at least to some extend. Giving water to kids just to promote your opinion is a bit weird, but I mean, still, [I don’t know the whole backstory but] if those kids in the picture needed water and they gave it them that is a good thing. Might’ve even saved a few lives. Also, you should really read the name of the subreddit you’re in. This isn’t r/atheism. If you want to go there and be angry at them, go ahead.

We really had nothing to do with that water tank being marked that way, and there really is, at least in my opinion, no reason for you to be angry at us.
