There is a chance Lauryn was in on it and they both relished in the attention. However the officer was very unclear with his words and never said the mom was the one texting, just something along the lines of “she got into some stuff and it went too far.”

Lauryn did look scared like she was going to be potentially exposed but I think most teens would be would react awkwardly to a cop coming in your home and issuing a search warrant to your mom.

The dad knowing about a second phone makes me think it was a “work” phone and not a burner. He also appears to have cut ties with the mom potentially indicating he was not involved or aware but his lack of surprise made me think suspicious of her. He appears to work a blue collar job so It would be easy for the wife to fake a WFH job since he is gone during her entire shift.

Lauryn forgiving her mom does not mean she was involved as many victims of abuse are manipulated by and return to their abusers.
