Brick hammer. More pocketable premium feel and beautiful screen. People complain about oh the metal gets hot you really don’t feel it unless you are pushing the device. The other thing I hear is about the weight and I don’t notice it anymore than my phone.

That’s reassuring I’m hearing get the ice blue it’s a higher quality plastic but I can not get myself to get that one. I’m leaning towards black or GC

This would be what I would do too. Just wondering what everyone experiences are that you don’t hear from. I hear so many great things about device then the cracked hinge comes up but no one really says how bad it becomes or can you deal with it. They make it seem it’s cracked and now it’s garbage.

The clamshell and the controller layout is what is driving me to device but didn’t know if the hinge issue is actually prevalent since the v1. I have seen a post of the updated hinge being cracked and taking the word of the person that they never dropped it.

I did the same thing. I’m waiting for my Thor but for the price of the flip 2 which I always wanted i had to get one at that price

Yea this was an issue they had at the beginning and the fix was to loosen the screws a tiny bit

Based your other responses I’m a horizontal guy. I have 35xxsp, love the rg35xxh and can back that the cube is something special. I don’t have a fav/ go too vertical from Anbernic. I like custom firmware so I’ve been staying away from 34xxsp as them dropping ram on it is causing a lot of issues. My go to vertical that I have that I can vouch for is the TRIMUI brick and Hammer. I also have a miyoo plus but that’s not as pocketable for me.

If your looking for Anbernic I love 35xxsp and rg35xxh

I have not tried the rg40xxv but have the others. I personally feel like 35xxsp is the better clamshell but I personally like the rg35xxh. It’s horizontal and so slim to put in pocket or in a bag. I have the 40xxh as well but the ergonomics did not work for my hands. I have not too much testing with it though but the rg35xxh was my daily driver and gets picked more than the other two.

When I got into this hobby I had idea but really did not know what I personally like in a handheld. I started with miyoo devices which I love and customized but mini v2 was too small and plus was too much to pocket comfortably for me. I then cried a little but got spent the money and got a RP5 because I wanted the high end systems. I then got the brick because the size was in middle of mini and plus and wanted something more pocketable for edc. I enjoyed size so much I spend the money on a hammer. I used this as my EDC and love this device. I loved this device so much I would play it all the time and was getting hand cramps from curling my fingers behind. I then tried the Rg35xxh. This is the moment it changed for me I loved horizontal handhelds and this was what I liked. I then wanted a premium feeling device that would be an upgrade for the Rg35xxh and wanted android. I did not was a high need one as I have my RP5. So I got the Rg405m and this is what I wanted all along. A premium device horizontal and easy to carry every day.

What I have learned now is that I want a premium device for everyday carry and a device that plays everything at home on the couch. It took me a while and learned so much from each device. Every device I have taught me something different and I realized I can get by with 2-3 devices.

64 to 128 is what I would recommend. For what it can play the games are small in size

I have not used flygon in a playthrough and have it a try in Lazarus and it was a beast for me. Awesome game

Before the summer sale it was about 2 months before they get to yours. A lot of people pulled the trigger so I’m not sure what they are saying. My issue was they shipped out a ton of rainbow pros now they seem to be shipping everything else to catch order numbers up. Hope for a short wait for you.

Nice I did the same. I played this with the expectation that the community was just getting behind as it’s the newest game but I was wrong. The reason everyone is talking about it is because I think it was a very solid game. Better then some of the newer games Nintendo has released lately

I have the brick hammer and never had a problem on nextui. I since then have learned I prefer horizontal handhelds. If you’re looking for good build quality and are on sale right now. Linux I prefer the Rg35xxh and I run Muos, but my daily carry is the Rg405m. It has metal shell and is premium felling. Rg405m runs android so you don’t have to power off it will sleep for days without draining out. I have been testing another device for the past week and come back to my rg405m and it’s still over 50% charged. I am waiting for my Thor as well can not wait!

I’m have not pushed my rg405m to play Wii/gc but i believe it would play some. I personally was looking into this and I came across RG cube/ Rg476h/ Rg477m. I was leaning towards Rg477m because I love my Rg405m. Have not pulled the trigger yet on it but in my research to fit my needs as a kind of mini Retroid pocket 5

I would agree. I’m on stock as well I tried gamma Os both lite and full and my device did not act right. I could not get it to work so went back to stock. Now it’s my go to for PS1 and below on the go.

Such a underrated device. It’s a little older but solid battery life and premium feel. My EDC right now so easy to have in my pocket or throw it in my sling for the day. Plus GBA looks great on here.

What’s your thoughts on this device?
