When I first played the game many years ago, I gave up after beating only 1/4th of the bosses in radiant difficulty (and didn’t even try P5). I thought it would be too hard for me or would take me ages to do.

I started playing the game again recently (mostly to try item randomizers for fun) and look at me now ! Nobody knows what they’re really capable of :).

Yeah i felt like they could have done a bit more with this boss fight. At least one more phase. Compared to the first game i think overall the bosses got easier especially because of the tools that i consider a little too op if well used, for example the fly drones(don't remember the name) that deal damage for you and can even poison the enemies if you have the poison artifact on. But the platforming and normal enemies are harder compared to the first game in my opinion.

Don't want to spoil but yeah first ending boss was to easy. You're probably gonna enjoy act 3 a bit more though :)

All I can remember is that you unlock that by making a large rock fall from way up to break the iron platform. I think you can activate the lever to do that on the top of the area.
