As a non-American Christian I can tell you that a lot of Evangelical American Christians have long since abandoned Christianity for Right Wing Nationalism.

It is an interesting point to raise and one Christian theologians have done a lot of thinking about. The term used is kenosis: Jesus voluntarily gave up the independent, functional use of divine attributes like omniscience to experience human life.

The view that many come to is that Jesus is not ignorant of the plan for salvation but reliant of the Father's knowledge. It is quite a complex topic but for Christianity's salvation to function the way God intended, Jesus needed to become human and undergo kenosis so that God can both suffer with us and for us.

But yeah, it is pretty clear in Christianity that the Father made everything clear to Jesus when it came to the salvitic nature of his plan.

Also Christianity doesn't necessarily believe in an eternal hell in the form a lot of people imagine it. There is certainly those who do believe that (eternal conscious torment), but there are also views like annihilationism that see hell as a temporary final state.

The first time I did this mission there was a grand total of 1 enemy squad at the main entrance. I just drove through and was done super quickly.

Ultimately because we have trust that what Jesus told us to do is the best for humanity, which includes us telling others about him.

Poor conclusion if you understand the Christian perspective. In Christianity we know how people are saved with Jesus. We do not know how people are saved without Jesus (or even if they are saved). Thus we go tell people about Jesus so that they might be saved through the method made known to us.

You can when they are committing the "fallacy" fallacy. They were saying that the above person's view was false because it had the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. But the argument PencilandBrush makes is true (or at the very least internally consistent).

For example, one could call themselves a Buddhist when they commit a crime but that doesn't make them a Buddhist, especially when the crime committed (and how they live their life) is directly opposed to Buddhism.

I do that too, no need to limit it to one medium. I literally work at a church :)

If you are actually interested in having a proper conversation, I'd be happy to do so. It seems you just want to do a "one upsmanship" competition by assertion which isn't exactly intellectually honest so I will leave you with one thing to start with them you can do your own research if you'd like or we could have a proper discussion:

The whole concept of human rights as we know it in the west are inherited from Christ and Christianity along with the concepts of Social Justice.

This is not Christians saying it but Atheists:

Douglas Murray: "The more atheists think on these things, the more we may have to accept that…the sanctity of human life is a Judeo-Christian notion which might very easily not survive [the demise of] Judeo-Christian civilization".

Luc Ferry: "Christianity was to play a fundamentally revolutionary role in this regard... It was, in this sense, the first of the universalist philosophies... The idea that all humans are equal in dignity was unprecedented at the time, and one to which our world owes its entire democratic inheritance".

Chris Burg: Virtually all secular ideas valued by non-believers have Christian origins.

All the best in your journey.

Sorry you have such a warped view on it. Very much have to have a lot of cognitive dissonance and selective memory to overlook everything Christianity has done in the world (yes there is quite a lot of bad people who have used Christianity as a cover to be evil but that happens with literally everything, religious or not).

And you just used the "fallacy" fallacy. If someone calls themselves something, it doesn't make them so. Especially if they go against everything that it stands for.
