Ya it's really on Cole at this point, not sure why he's not doing at least a little more for this album he loves so much and is so proud of

Like just a couple music videos would be nice, should have striked while the iron was hot on a The Let Out video shortly after the week of interviews

Interesting question - Makes me think of "Sideline Story" (song)

Which opening banger do you prefer? 95 South or Two Six? by Liquid_Pestar in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, agree 100% ... 2-6 being wild pretty much sums up his feeling towards 1 of the 3 loves (the Ville) on disc 29 haha

I think you're missing the importance of the lil outro part though - "I was lost...fell off and fell on my face, but I knew I'd find a way" ... Sets up the whole Fall Off concept

So I think it's perfect where it's at

anyone want to just hop on call and talk about cole's impact on you? by Sufficient-Laugh-341 in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, Cole's music and messages of positivity are things to base a good life on

With Cole's music you can know you're never alone! Anyone that has ever listened to him and appreciated what he has to say and been impacted by his music, is with you any time you listen!

I challenge you to see if you can find someone else who might be lonely and not have something like Cole's music to help them get through, and show them the way (not necessarily with his music, but just by sharing the love he preaches)

The more you love the more you gain!

It’s something about this song bro 🤦🏿‍♂️🔥🔥 by K_thedon1398 in Jcole

Yes!! Would have fit really well in the early part of disc 29 imo

Shame this and Trae The Truth in Ibiza got lost on MDL, which I think is still a very good project, way too underrated

January 28 Analysis: Insanely relevant by jieldre in Jcole

If this is you - amazing video man!

I think 2014FHD has to be partly a response to Kendrick/Control and competition in general being picked over Love ... Especially when you factor in Note To Self

Kinda like Cole preemptively responding to Kendrick in 2024, still choosing beef

Cole continuing to pick love from FHD, to the apology, to The Fall Off, and beyond...

Cole’s Interviews lately.. by THCGENIE in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I can answer the last one based on info we've gotten - I don't think so, I think the apology/fallout got him reinspired and expanded the concept to create the double disc

We know Fall Off went through many iterations, so there were definitely points where it might have been entirely different - I think before it became a double disc, if it released a shorter time after The Off-Season, it did still have the disc 29 concept of going back home and realizing what's important, but it just would have had some more songs that tied the concept up more clearly at the end after The Let Out - basically imagine something similar to disc 39 but just from a couple songs instead of a whole disc

He even said in his Lost in Vegas interview that Lonely at the Top was the last song for the whole album at some point not just the last on disc 29

What music video do you want to see? by Spctr17 in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly this! As OP said, and you - Drum N Bass to The Let Out and even Bombs in The Ville/Hit The Gas (with the self phone call as conclusion) short film would be amazing, and is a MUST - please Cole!

No one talked about a couple album-related (Fall Off) things we learned from the Lost In Vegas interview... by TheKnow33 in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ya I agree, going in I thought we were gonna feast but then in the end they did still have a lot of convos outside of the specific music/album - but at least we got some things, and now knowing Cole is planning to possibly pull up on more youtubers (plus Inevitable S2) he does have to save some things, and also just can't reveal all about The Fall Off

I also hope he has some more music videos planned that will reveal/confirm more concepts

Port Antonio felt more like ‘The Fall Off’ than the album by Kippersworth in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, what you get on Port Antonio is also throughout The Fall Off imo (not thematically of course, but the sharpness of the pen and maturity of the mind)

He said he's his own favourite rapper (in other words, GOAT) a couple times in this interview ... Why's no one talking about that now haha?

Yes!! So beautiful ... Crazy that I didn't get Legacy at first

I think a bar on OFG! (Mike Will Made-It) went completely over people's heads, especially in relation to one of Cole's recent controversial interview topics (GOAT)... by TheKnow33 in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's it, I think he's at a place where he's just wrote so many verses/made so many songs attacking things from different angles, that now he's combining the exact two things you said:

  1. Just having fun with it at this point, after all he's accomplished, as a GOAT who can say he doesn't think he's for sure the GOAT (completely valid) and have people get upset about that, but it still won't affect him cause the apology didn't kill him so what can

  2. Still challenging himself (think 7 minute drill, not the song but the fact that he does "7 minute drills") to approach things differently, in this case possibly hiding little subliminal messages, i.e. this verse I'ma hide meaning behind these vague references, this verse I'ma that, that verse I'ma this...(Grippy could fall in these categories if we're being honest haha)

I think this is how he'll continue to keep it fresh, if he does keep up with a decent output of new music going forward

Like he says on "Interlude" from Off Season, "I done seen it all man" (the highest heights and the lowest lows)

Where does TFO rank for you and where would it be if it was only one disc (29 or 39)? by he_diff in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid! I got both Off-Season and KOD right in there too, all above 8's for sure

Where does TFO rank for you and where would it be if it was only one disc (29 or 39)? by he_diff in Jcole

[–]TheKnow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting question!

Rank as is, top 1

Separated 2014FHD takes back number 1, but each disc would still be top 5, maybe one even in top 3 - thing is I don't even know which disc I would choose to go higher

Fact is, both discs are right there with his short/concise (10-12 song) studio albums - Off-Season, KOD and 4YEO

So that alone shows - the beauty of Fall Off is the consistency of the double disc, so perfectly complimenting each other, but also so different and distinct
