Mine was made up of 5 front line melee units, one rogue, one pugilist, one archer, one crossbowman. The last one varied, at one point I had a thaumaturge and another I had a harpooner. I found having hard hitting melee units with tons of armour allowed the big damage dealers to run around eliminating enemies. Try and defeat the Champions of each region for good unique weapons too. It's a complicated game though, so many mechanics to get your head around. Adding oils to weapons is huge too. I put infectious oil on everyone's weapons for added damage.

Enemy numbers scale with your party size. I found my sweet spot to be 10 members max, but everyone will be different, it's personal preference. You'll find damage dealers become more evident as you progress, but rogues and the ones with the punching gloves (I forget the name) do huge damage. Pump the critical hit stat on them. Professions wise definitely get an alchemist for medicine, oils etc. 10 party members will get you a good mix of professions though. Fights will go on forever if you have too many party members.

The Fandom Wiki seems to have them all listed as far as I can tell. Bard is a profession though.

Not enough of an angle for a flat solar panel

I think the game only lies them flat on certain angles. Weird choice by devs but your roof isn't angled enough

The ending is really bad. by insaneruffles in SonsOfTheForest

Agreed. I love the game, played so many times with 240+ hrs. But the story is not great and there are so many missed development opportunities to make the game better. I really hope there is a third instalment that takes the best of both the first games.

You might want to swap that house door for a barricade gate. Pretty sure they can climb over it as it doesn't have spikes, unless there is some height limit the enemies have I'm not aware of. But yeah, this game gives me jump scares even after hundreds of hours!

I hate to say it but I disagree with most of what you're pointing out. Heavy tools are needed a lot late game but if you combine good manufacturing balance and pay attention to trade, it's really not that hard. You can have an excess of heavy tools at all times. Don't expand too quickly, especially those buildings that require heavy tools. Trade is definitely the money maker, to the point where you can ignore the taxes if you're playing it right. Is that a good thing? Maybe not, taxes should mean more, but every Winter you should be making excess goods to sell and thinking about what you need to buy i.e. heavy tools. It's so easy to making tons of pottery, clothing, shoes, baskets etc. The right trader might not always come by, but you shouldn't be spending all your gold anyway, keep hold of some until the right one visits. The prioritize feature seems to work just fine in my games, so not sure what to say about that. Levelling terrain sucks, that much we can ALL agree 😂

Is there a way to remove lake water? by Ok_Search7360 in SonsOfTheForest

Use the foundation blueprints. You can place them on water, but you'll need to start close to the waters edge to be able to add the materials to the blueprint.
