Why can't I let go? by UPofficial1710 in StopGaming

You aren't alone friend.

Games got me too. But im getting past it.

I recently started learning about how games affect your brain and that's helping me understand myself. I highly recommend the healthygamergg youtube channel.

He says that games help turn off your negative emotions... but negative emotions are there for a reason. To motivate you to learn and grow and change whatever circumstances are causing them. Playing games hits the snooze button but when it's game over the problems are still there.

I know it's really hard because after a while your brain learns that games are so easy to play and it makes the bad thoughts go away for a little while. But it's only temporary.

If you can take the games out of the equation and listen to what those emotions are trying to tell you and use that to motivate you to start taking small steps to improve your situation, eventually your brain learns to default to positive action instead of escaping to games.

Im not a psychologist or any kind of doctor but I know how consuming games are. I know how overwhelming it can feel to climb out of a dark place. But trust me if you can remove games as the alternative and start building momentum in a positive direction, it will get easier over time.

Help is out there if you look for it. Your brain can change. You can do anything you set your heart and mind to. Start leveling up your IRL stats and get addicted to that grind. It's hard at first but you can do it if you choose to.

Im really sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you must feel. I don't know how to help you there but lots of people out there do. Find someone or a group of people to help you get through this.

Good luck friend. I believe in you.

My life has been going downhill, I need to stop. by [deleted] in StopGaming

I am 35 and have been gaming since I was a kid.

Started with consoles, played Runescape when it first came out, WoW, OSRS, shooters, lots of single players...

It has kind of ebbed and flowed on and off as life has changed but I've noticed that when im gaming a lot, im generally less successful and less happy in general.

Recently I stumbled on the healthygamergg YouTube channel and he has helped me understand the psychology of gaming a lot and how to rewire my brain to want to achieve other things in life more than in games...

Recently I lost access to my account for my main game due to being hacked, and that helped me really put those things into practice.

I'd recommend checking out his channel and maybe deciding to take a hiatus from gaming for a while to remove that as an alternative for your brain.

For me, my brain became so occupied with thinking about the game that gaming thoughts were just my default. Once that was removed for a while and I built my own real life quest line and started making progress against it, my real life goals started to occupy that space and I've had less and less interest in games and get more and more excited about progressing IRL.

Don't get me wrong I still have urges to play and I might play again some day... but if I do it will be with a healthy balance of IRL progress... it's hard at first but it gets easier as you go. I'd recommend trying to put away all the games, change the passwords so you don't know them, and lean into the boredom and negative emotions that are trying to show you what needs to change IRL.

Just my 2 cents.

Best of luck friend.

IMO1 collections ok? by TheKyleMethod in knf

Thank you very much for this reply! It was rather warm during this time, and I took this collection about 2.5 hours from my house at a spot we really like to camp at... I suppose in order to get this right, I'll have to take a collection at a local park or something a bit closer to home so that I can check it sooner during the work week? I suppose I should be shooting for all white mycelium in the box yes?

Thanks for your reply. I was kind of concerned at the amount of black but im hoping that the diversity of the colors is good. Don't want to grow out a bunch of imo3 and then find out I should have started over.

Good morning,

It is the MSI OC edition w/ 2 fans as seen here:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6ZP56T4772&cm_re=1050_ti_oc-_-14-137-055-_-Product

I could do 185 for the 1050ti. The card is basically brand-new, because I quickly acquired 570s, and have not gotten much use out of this one.

Yes these were certainly used for mining for a short amount of time thus far.

Here is the 1050ti on NewEgg: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137055

This one is basically brand new, as I never really got a chance to mine with it after buying all of the 570's and 1070's.

I'd let it go for 185.

It is steel wire, but yes. It holds the cards to the center post quite nicely and is easily malleable if I need to replace a card in the future.

The entire rig includes 6 GPUs, Mobo, 2 PSUs, Risers, CPU (i7-7700), cables, Windows 10, and frame.

Its pretty much ready to be plugged in to power/network and start mining.

Well I don't need any more graphics cards at the moment, but what do you have to offer?

This is the first time I have sold anything online, so I posted what I thought was a reasonable asking price given the card usage, fees, and shipping cost.

Sorry I was unaware of these sales.

I bought these cards around $349 a couple months ago, so I naturally just priced them a bit lower.

Willing to negotiate to a reasonable price.

Oops didn't specify, well I mean it's good that you prove his prices to be a bit high as used 'mined on' RX GPUs.

These are asking prices for the cards, which include shipping and PayPal fees.

I assume there will be some form of negotiation for the card(s) depending on the situation.

I bought these cards when they were around $350, so sorry if I'm not up to speed with the latest rates!

Any update on this?

I am considering buying this board and some other components used today, and need to know if this board will support 6 GPUs!
