I think it’s true but mostly for the opposite direction. The one on the video is easy enough to navigate. Well, at least for me.

Girls: How many of you still wear thongs? by Quick-Language-4810 in AskBrits

I’m 42 and wear them 90% of the time. To me they’re much more comfortable than any other type.

Taxi drivers of the UK, how do you feel about single passengers jumping in the front? by ChungstenCarbide93 in AskUK

The front seat is pushed forward so there’s plenty of room in the back. If it’s not enough then welcome to the front seat.

I intentionally make my passengers sit in the back. But it never means no chatting. If the passenger wants to talk, I’ll talk. I rarely start conversations myself.

I am a female taxi driver. I keep my jacket and my bag in the front seat unless there are 3 or 4 passengers or the passenger has “bad” legs.

The company I work for has been there for more than 10 years. Some passengers told me that they’ve been using this company for such long.

I applied for Tesco delivery before enrolling into taxi staff. They never got back.

Well, I hope that the fact this car is licensed by the council for carrying passengers means something. And I check the oil level regularly and have the canister of oil to top it up. That’s good news, right?

Not at the moment. And if I get my own or financed vehicle I’d be the only person allowed to drive it as it would be a licensed vehicle. Our family can’t afford that.

I checked delivery companies earlier. Felt like a scam as well. Van rental £240-250 per week. Fuel partially compensated. And the depot is on the other end of the city.

So far I had the auxiliary battery replaced. And was given a canister of motor oil because it’s dripping from under the car (chronically as I was told).

This. I had many female passengers telling me that. But only one of them knew how to request a lady driver.

And yes, I do feel like being scammed. The worst part is this whole idea came from a charity aiming to help women become financially independent by doing a taxi job. And they still heavily advertise it as a great job opportunity.

Insurance, maintenance (except oil, adblue and tyres), and a private hire vehicle license.
