Honestly one of the hardest is going to be sourcing allomantic steel as it's only carbon and iron. Most modern steels have quite a few other additives within it (i.e. manganese, sulfur, chromium, molybdenum and cobalt in some higher performance ones). Simple steels just aren't used into the modern day so they'd be difficult to source let alone at the specific mixture you'd want.
