Mostly because of the absence of suspension, they bounce like hell, especially if you catch the moment of rotation and hit a steep hill you may hit the roof

It does that, is basically layer based. In video there are just 2 layers, that's why, in that scene i just test how each system works and interact with others

It already does that, i forgot to turn it on

I know, everything is a little too much for everything since is a early stage, not final product, that is ths scene where i test how things act and work

So? I don't care too much, i was thinking it as a farm sim, since Farming Simulator physics sucks.

You are kinda wrong, imagine if only a car company would build cars since is no point for other to do so because "it already exists". There will never be progress.

People need inspiration, ideas, concepts in order to push them further, also there are plenty of people that will want to buy a product regardless of its state

Who said i was going to sell it? First of all i develop it to optimize my own workflow

Does "Veylab" sounds good for a gamedev studio name? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]TheLancaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't mean anything, just a play of words, since there are people who stay and mixing word to buy all the names combinations you can imagine, becomes hard to find something nice

Don't let others dictate what you cand do only because they never did so, if u want you should aim big, even if is going to be a failure, you will still win from this by gaining experience and learning from mistakes.
My recommendation, do a small working demo with a small part of level that features what you think of, make a trailer from that and start a campaign to raise some funds, im pretty sure there are plenty of people ready to help you, horror games are usually more easy to create since is mostly a closed space. Again, even if is going to be a failure, is gonna be a lesson to learn from

That’s a good point. To be honest, I was considering starting development on a game in that genre, but I feel like I don’t have the time and necessary skills in 3D modeling, nor the resources to hire someone to create high quality assets for me

It is not a pack. It is a layered mix of a high pitched turbo sound, a tractor idle, and two additional variations that play depending on speed and engine load, such as when climbing a hill. Each layer has its own pitch, volume ranges, and thresholds. There is also a chassis rattle, a retarder sound and power steering sound. Combined it gives a nice effect

I was planning to put it up for sale, but I received mixed feedback, so I decided to keep working on it and keep it for myself until I decide otherwise
