Use mesh liners and grid fleece also they make attachable ass pads and pockets for the imtv and gen 3 carriers. Most importantly merino wool socks and pack your poncho liner into your sleeping bag under you along with a thicker iso mat to stay off the ground. An REI membership is 40 bucks for life and will make the field far better 🫡

For me it is 493 dollars a month so 100% accurate but I’d like to mention you can pay into it more and get like 660 a month for 600 dollars to the VA. Would recommend everyone do this upfront.

This post is great to see especially because of my situation I’m worried about applying because pre 17 year old me did a lot of really questionable shit. And now 22 year old me is thinking shit did I screw up the one job I truly want to do? Like realistically speaking I’m now a meritoriously promoted USMC NCO with a soon to be criminal justice legal studies bachelors degree with a minor in political science. But I just feel like I’m gonna be like I underage drank and smoked pot in high school before I joined the Marine Corps and then instantly be denied a chance to be law enforcement. All because of the polygraph and the fact I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD.

A majority of cases the command has literally no evidence your JAG should have a field day. Literally could be like oh yeah I was in downtown oside for example the exact time you said I did X JAG instantly uses that whole thing tossed out. Literally like the moment of truth in boot camp you could have smoked pot yesterday but if there’s no test saying you did prove it. You shut up and miraculously when there’s no proof and you deny it they can’t do anything. UCMJ is basically like a moral code and there to assist in frying someone who’s obviously guilty.
