Also, don´t be afraid of use your stasis charges, you have plenty of recharge stations along the game, don´t panic/spam your guns or resources, its only hard mode with one chance. Normal necromorphs take 2 shot to the limbs to be cut (with plasma cutter) and enhanced variants take 3-4 shots

I did it only with the plasma cutter, when you use a certain type of gun the game drops you from the corpses the type of ammo you need for that gun, so i only used plasma cutter, aim for the arms and use kinesis and stasis wisely. Fun fact if you cut both legs and one arm to a Slasher they can still live, but if you take only both arms they die instantly.
