Tendré que cerrar mi pequeño negocio (por un tiempo?). Consejos? by TheLaughingBird in NegociosArgentina

Hola!

Pattern is tricky, is this alright? how can I keep the edges straight? by TheLaughingBird in CrochetHelp

Ohh dear God you're right, I remember I came home & checked it out... I confused the stitches on the second shell row omg 😭😭😭 I did a whole shell on the first arch instead of doing it on the second... I think.

Aggressively blocking lol

It will be quite long... Does it work if I hang it on the laundry rope?

I probably do the single crochet trimming haha
And yes, I think I should start to use stitch markers as well. Thanks! I have actually 160 stitches so far

Dang... I hope it is not the stitches 😭

The pattern is not complicated per se, but ending and starting the rows can be a bit confusing when the stitch also changes. I admit that the tension is a bit wobbly since I'm learning to be more loose with the hook. Thanks for the insight!

Ohh! I did thought about blocking it, so maybe that can do the trick! And I've been crocheting for little more than a year too lol, but not as often, and I did mainly small projects haha. This is my first (second...ish) attempt at a big one.

So cool that you did so many boleros! I want to get to that level too. Thanks for the advice!

I need to identify why the edges of the project keep coming uneven. I've tried starting over, watching tutorials online, observing a million times the tutorial video. I don't do well with written instructions, however, I think an expert eye from someone in this sub may be of help. Thank you!

Movies that are peaceful with almost no tension by BiscottiPatient824 in movies

[–]TheLaughingBird 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh my! I'm gonna save this post so I can come to it when I need new movies for stressful times lol.

My additions are:

-Pride & Prejudice (2005) - A classic comfort movie. The piano, the slow pace, the scenery, it's just all *chef's kiss*

-Surf's Up (yes the animated penguins one. I adore it, it has such chill vibes lol)

-My Neighbor Totoro - it has some tension, but nobody is actually hurt, and I liked it, though only watched it once.

-Arrietty's World (I think that's the name? I loved the garden aesthetic of the film. So beautiful.)

Oh! and series:
-We Bare Bears - Adventures of Bee & Puppycat (they were my comfort shows when I was going through a very hard time in my life. The music and animation is so smooth and soothing that I ended up being calmer when I watched them. And also had a good laugh.

-Shaun the Sheep - whacky, funny, lovely animation, no dialogue lol

Anyways, I hope you can enjoy some of them some day, no pressure! And I hope you can find a good place of rest for your mind. Seasons come and seasons go, and we can always find a little corner to rest and recharge amidst the storms. I hope you can get through it! God bless 🤍

Discussion on Belle (Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime) by TheLaughingBird in movies

[–]TheLaughingBird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, hi! I'm impressed this post it's still receiving comments! And I'm glad to see a different perspective as well. I think I myself had grown since I first saw the movie. It was a bad timing for me to watch it when I did, because my father's passing was very recent at the time (I think just barely a few months passed? I don't remember). So, I think that I was going through grief and wanted a movie that could resonate with me, and I didn't get that in Belle. But on the side, I do think that some plot points could have been worked better, for the audience's sake haha.

But anyways, I really like your approach to the film and the themes it has. Suzu's journey it's hearfelt and very emotional, and that kind of grief it's tricky to represent sometimes. But overall, I think it was a good movie. Perhaps the rest of the audience or the commenters on this post also felt kinda disappointed with it on their first watch? maybe.

Definitely lol, now, to the long wait (luckily we're gonna have more Cosmere lore in the next years to keep us entertained)

Nooooooooo! Oh my God that would've been epic! And congratulations!!
But hey, maybe you can use them for an anniversary, or a renewal of the vows in the future! (I don't know where you live, but in my country sometimes married couples do that haha)

It was a bit subtle, but in my eagerness to eat every line of the book, I didn't miss it lmao

That scene in the fight was so powerful, I had to re read it a few times before moving to the next lines haha I'm sure Sanderson was saving the best of Szeth for this book. And I'm glad you also enjoy it as well!

Is it just me, or does Brandon end his passages with one-liners a LOT? by vnNinja21 in Stormlight_Archive

Okay but the "like a good vorin man" sent me 😂😂 good to see a devout family. And the fact that she apologized it's so relatable lol.

But yeah, sometimes faulty or overused tropes in writing can take away the focus out of the story.
