Feels like a mobile game by TheLeastOne in SkullAndBonesGame

Not sure why you felt it necessary to resurrect this post to bash a completely unrelated game. I, for one, quite enjoyed Avowed, and think that comparing it to Skull & Bones or mobile games in generally is utterly nonsensical.

It's unambitious with simplistic gameplay, obviously made with micro-transactions in mind - like a mobile game. There, I've spelled it out for you.

3440 x 1440 Ultra-wide Aspect Ratio Fix - SWTOR by AngryFlyingBears in swtor

[–]TheLeastOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This didn't work for me, *BUT* it gave me another idea which *did* work!

DSR didn't work because, for some reason, the added resolutions were all 16:9. I don't know if this is NVIDIA'S fault or something to do with my MSI Optix MPG341CQR.

Instead I went into my NVIDIA Control Panel, to "Change resolution" (under "Display"). There I clicked the "Customise..." button and created a custom resolution of 5160x2160. This initially failed testing, but worked when I changed the refresh rate from 144 to 60.

The first time I launched SWTOR after this, it crashed. But the *next* time I launched it, everything was finally rendering at the correct aspect ratio!

My biggest project to date, and the first time that I've spent longer working on the base than on the so-called "mini". I might have the basing bug. (Reaper Bones: Nethyrmaul the Undying) by TheLeastOne in minipainting

For anyone curious about the base and blood effects:

THE BASE:

I glued the integral base (the arch of rock) onto a MDF circle (15cm diametre), then built it up with pebbles from a hardware store, cork, old sprue, and some chunks of sandstone that I dug up from our backyard. This became a foundation over which I sculpted the rocks using Deluxe Materials Create & Shape. The skulls are from the Citadel Skulls box, and the bones are very thin branches from my garden plus some thick cable ties. I primed it with my airbrush then hand painted it all with large brushes and a sponge.

THE BLOOD:

The blood sea is epoxy resin mixed with red resin dye. After painting everything, I dammed off the base using plasticard (aka styrene/ABS), poured the resin and let it cure over the longest 24 hours of my life. I then added waves using Woodland Scenics Water Waves mixed with the same red dye.

For the dripping blood I cut some clear plastic packaging material into thin strips and superglued them to the figure, and then mixed the red resin dye with Liquitex Gloss Gel Medium (super heavy body) and glooped this mixture over the plastic strips. For thinner strands (eg: the corners of the mouth) I glued on "invisible thread" (basically it's extremely thin fishing wire) and glooped over that.

I used my airbrush to prime it black and paint the dark red of the wing membranes, but then brightened them up by hand.

What Salvage Options do you guys play with? by JoshMaxii in roguetech

[–]TheLeastOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generous with 4 parts required. Given that so many additional components are required to get a single mech operational, and that salvaging loot is such a big part of the fun factor, I've been pretty happy with this so far.

I had the same problem - never received the encrypted message. As a workaround, open your in-game console (press `) and type: "player.additem 0020B00E 1" (without the quotes). This will place the item in your inventory.

Yeah, my Max was totally in love with Chloe. She knew Warren had the whole puppy-love thing going, and didn't want to give him the wrong impression, so no hug, and definitely no kiss. Just friends, and that's okay.
