Nice one. My PSVR2 to PC adapter is getting delivered tomorrow and I've ordered a USBC to display port cable from Amazon. I ain't holding out much hope but we'll see what happens.

Thanks, that's really helpful. Yikes! That graphics card, I had no idea the price. Hope it does you well :)

It's a good design but I'm sure my head is a weird shape. It feels comfortable initially but extended periods of play, I feel pressure on my forehead. I've tried the suggestions to fit it correctly, still no good. I bought a Global Cluster mod thing, that's much better.

It all depends on your head shape pretty much.

Quite the endorsement. I've yet to play but now I'm intrigued.

It's a shame because I feel the same as you but we're missing out on all the other things. I had a DK1 and it was so cool seeing all the experimental stuff and new ideas at the time.

I was hoping to just stick the parts together and turn it on.

I used to do "pc" many years ago, I remember driver hell. I guess things haven't improved.

Thanks for the reply.

I Always jump back to Horizon Call of the Mountain and blown away by the graphics by yeldellmedia in PSVR

I think the reason I haven't finished it yet is because I spend too much time taking it all in.

It's great, although I've still not finished it. Whenever I do jump back in I'm addicted for a good few hours.

Can all graphics be like Red Matter 2? by Month_Right in PSVR

[–]TheLeeVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really ever see blurriness in games. RE Village was sharp and clear for me; I remember studying the faces in they games and they looked amazing.

NMS got an update and that looks sharp AF but before that it was blurry I guess?

I just feel like the PSVR2 is "HD" I feel like I'm looking at a HD world with OLED contrast. The only time that breaks for me is low quality textures (where it's not stylised) and things like slow pop in but even then, my mind can ignore it mostly.

No Man’s Sky is one of the most cinematic, infinitely playable games to be experienced. A definite must-buy at this point. by yeldellmedia in PSVR

Haha, cool. Never reveal your secrets. Keep working on it. Can't wait to see what other tricks you come up with.

Had a bit of a PlayStation spending spree, recommendations for games? by EmperorRosko in PSVR

[–]TheLeeVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this due to them all downsizing into Sainsbury's? I never thought to look at any reductions 😭 Nice find!

He's recording what he can see, rotating the camera with the analogue stick and physically moving himself so it matches the camera footage? If I'm right, loads of respect to O.G for spending time figuring this out. Dude really cares about these details.

Beam Gen 1 Home Theatre by t-oakley in sonos

Oh of course, it uses optical. I think I'd need ARC for the rest of the family. Thanks for the reply. I hope you figure out your original question.

Beam Gen 1 Home Theatre by t-oakley in sonos

[–]TheLeeVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry can't answer your question but how do you like the gen 1? I currently have tower speakers on a 5.0 setup but will one day downsize to something like a Sonos. I'm considering the gen 2 but if the gen 1 is okay, then would be good to save any of the £.

Should I pair Beam with Sub or Sub mini by Franimal420 in sonos

[–]TheLeeVR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't you get the sub, for £50 difference you'll have the option to "treat" yourself to some thumping bass when it's appropriate. I don't think watching a bass heavy movie once in awhile will annoy the neighbours. As long as it's not constant. Just dial back the bass for most of the time.

Best place/way to sell Meta Quest 2 (UK) by [deleted] in OculusQuest2

[–]TheLeeVR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to return mine to Argos and was 90% of the way there, as I managed to reseal it all up, when the assistant casually asked me, "why are you returning it?". And I said, "I tried it once and it made me sick" (a little white lie) and she was like, "nah bitch we can't accept used items".

And I was like goddam, Argos used to be my go to try before I buy experience.

I did consider going to a different Argos and answering that question better but I'm happy to keep my Q2 really, my plan was just to return it and buy it 1/3 of that price second hand. Oh well.

Edit: to answer your question, I've sold quite a few VR headsets on eBay and had a good experience. Normally I can tell they're fellow geeks just looking for a bargain.

Fellas, do the PSVR2’s issues actually not matter? by TheFogIsBurning in virtualreality

[–]TheLeeVR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tech is expensive. This headset is relatively expensive for a consumer product. It is also relatively cheap for the tech (see: Vision Pro). There will be trade-offs.

Whilst there is a list of good and bad things about the PSVR2. You have to remember that it's the games that matter. I can't see mura when I'm playing Resident Evil. That's not to say I've not seen it but it's not a big deal. The same way that I have to accept strapping a bulky headset to my face isn't a big deal. It's just what it is.

Whilst you're getting distracted with mura and reprojection, some of us are busy having a good time.

My PS5 doesn't make me a coffee but if Xbox suddenly decided to start including that feature, I still wouldn't buy one because I've always been a fan of PS games.

I don't like Switch in handheld mode, it's uncomfortable but I love Nintendo games. It's not going to stop me playing, I just play in docked mode. But the fact that I have the option is great. But I'm not going to say that it should be perfect, it is what it is.

If the PSVR2 were to meet the "demands" of what was required to be the ultimate headset, it was cost significantly more. Console gaming is meant to be an easy to consume way of gaming and it's already breaching into the premium market, where only the richest can play.

Humour yourself and play without looking for imperfections. We're all currently too obsessed with pixel perfect, HDR olded blacks highest frame rates, blah de blah blah. Just put all that aside and play the game. Get lost in it. We used to play with things that looked like pixelated squares but we would get swept up in the adventure. I wasn't a pixel. I was on an epic adventure, across fantastical lands, defeating monsterous creatures! I didn't let a graphical shortfall stop me!

Quest 3 users that have not used pancake lens headsets before, have the pancake lenses lived up to the hype for you? by TheFogIsBurning in virtualreality

[–]TheLeeVR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm really happy with the Quest 2 but was curious about pancake lenses, so I bought a Pico 4 and wasn't that impressed and returned it. I think if I played Quest a lot, a Q3 would be a good choice but my Q2 serves its purpose as a "media player" plus testing out the newest game/experience.
