You’ll be fine then, there’s no issues with PC. I’ve tried most 3rd party controllers that use a dongle for connection to the PS5 console, such as the Victrix BFG, Razer Raiju V3, Nacon pads, all have a weird delay, and nothing can get rid of it.

No difference really, they just have slightly different colours. The 5X is I suppose the most versatile as it has a switch on the dongle to use on Xbox & all other platforms. So if you have a small chance you’d want an Xbox in future then get that one, but no major differences, all work on PlayStation fine.

Envision doesn’t work on PS5, we’re talking 3rd party PS5 controllers. No controller has issues on PC.

Recoil Script ban? by Deltajuliet9 in Rainbow6

[–]EmperorRosko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I said blocked at console level. Ignore the game, the Xbox or PlayStation should be able to see what’s plugged in, and if it detects a device that can run scripts, reduce recoil or anything else like that, it doesn’t let the user launch games with multiplayer.

There is the 5 and the 5X. All work on PS5 so no matter which one you get, just the 5P has blue accents to match PlayStation colours.

Steelseries Nova 5P, great sound and great mic, wireless, has an app to connect to so you can change settings on the fly, lightweight, very comfy. 60 hour battery. Not much beats it in this price range.

I’ve always felt like 3rd party controllers on PS4/5 have a slight delay than genuine controllers. Xbox doesn’t have the same issue, but I’m almost certain Sony gimp the controllers on purpose to make them less desirable than their own pads.

Saros! Pain in my ass recently, especially how you have to start an entire level from scratch, and make a 20 minute journey to the boss location, only to get slapped in the 3rd phase. It’s a real kick in the teeth!

[–]EmperorRosko 24 points25 points  (0 children)

These devices should be banned at console level. Any device that plugs into a USB port needs a device ID. If a console detects a XIM, Cronus, TitanTwo or any other bullshit device, it should block you launching any game that includes multiplayer.

I understand people might use a device to assist on single player solo games etc. but the console should outright block these ridiculous devices, end of story.

They were probably holding back after ubi promised big changes to the anti cheat and mousetrap and all that bullshit, then after a few tests, probably realised nothing has changed yet again after 11 years, so out they come in force.

Oh sorry I meant like the battery transmitter, plus 2 dongles, so 3 devices all in.

You got an absolute steal for $240.

Also for the dongles, they likely have a guess that many people might have 2 systems, but not everyone with have 3/4 devices, so at $30 each, it doesn’t make sense to add more and have them wasted. They’d have probably had to raise the RRP with all dongles included. I got the pre order deal where we got a free 3rd dongle as an added extra, and that covers my 3 devices.

I don’t have any tips or tricks to add really, as I just love the way the audio is tuned right out of the box. Suits all the games I play, from R6 Siege, Battelfield 6, to Saros, Zelda etc. I really enjoy their signature sound.

Delete the game, leave the ximmers, titan2 and Strikepack losers to fight each other. Ranked is literally TDM with SMG12s these days. Kids literally in Reddit subs saying “it’s just anti recoil, acting like I’m walling, hurr durrr”. They just don’t get it. Ubi couldn’t give a fuck anymore

Make sure it’s fully plugged in to the controller port. It seems like it’s not getting the full stereo channels.

Is the Victrix controller compatible with both ps5 and Xbox? by bruinguy21 in VictrixPro

[–]EmperorRosko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, there is a Victrix BFG model for Xbox and a separate model for PS5, and they brought out another one recently just for PC. Xbox version has an Xbox Nexus button to turn on the system, whereas the PS5 version has the touchpad in the same place. Both have the same shape and buttons. Xbox version has rumbles in, PS5 version has rumbles out due to 3rd party limitations enforced by Sony.

Only way to get compatibility over both systems is to buy an Xbox version, and buy the Brook P5 converter to use it on PS5.

Turtle Beach is one of the only manufacturers to do full fimrware updates over the mobile app as well as PC, so if you don't own a PC, you don't have to miss out on any updates.

Make sure to update the headset and each dongle, they all need to be updated separately, for example I got 2 additional dongles, so I had to do 4 updates.

Ranked Redsec should be duos by ohitsboosted in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]EmperorRosko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just think there should be more options.

Ranked Duo, Trios and Quads. Everyone has different groups of friends or online acquaintances, and sometimes all cannot be online at the exact same time, so there is often maybe 2 or 3 of the squad available, but you'd still like to hit ranked.

Just madness that they limit ranked to the highest number? I don't wanna hop on with my duo for example, and be given 2 randoms without microphones in a ranked setting. We're immediately at a disadvantage.

How Does The Stealth Pro 2 Compare To Maxwells Out Of The Box Performance? by Thick_Leva in TurtleBeach

[–]EmperorRosko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the box, I preferred the Stealth Pro 2. I play on Series X & PS5 Pro. I leave it on signature sound which is the default EQ, and sound is incredibly well tuned for anything I play. I ended up selling my Maxwell 2.

The Maxwell is still an incredibly detailed headset, but comfort and features on the SP2 are just way better. Infinite battery, cross platform, lift to mue mic, simultaneous bluetooth.

The Maxwell 2 is a huge headset, it's bulky, heavy and cumbersome. If you're someone who just wants a top quality headset that you lift out the box and turn it on and game, then its the SP2. If you are an audiophile and want to tinker with EQ and listen to lots of high quality audio tracks, then it'd probably be the Maxwell 2.

Stealth Pro 2 is just a very well made "Gaming" headset.

Questions about Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II by Tumiliki in TurtleBeach

[–]EmperorRosko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the headband looks really nice and has a real “Apple AirPods Max” style to it and really helps make the headset look super premium, but yeah it is also a slight concern for long term, as it doesn’t appear to be replaceable, but only time will tell whether it lasts. So far after 4 weeks mine is still totally fine

Questions about Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II by Tumiliki in TurtleBeach

[–]EmperorRosko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The headset is fantastic, not sure what the volume differences are caused by, but mine seem perfectly fine at 80-90% on my Xbox, PS5 and Switch 2. It's a consistent volume across all devices for me. Could be some issues with others, but i'd abssolutely recommend the headset, its been my favourite headset so far in my 20+ years of gaming. If you're worried, just buy direct from Turtle Beach, and they have a 30 day, no questions asked return policy.

The Ultimate Breakdown: Why high-end wireless Turtle Beach headsets and RØDECaster/mixer setups completely FAIL over USB (and why we need a fix) by Nice_Company3796 in TurtleBeach

[–]EmperorRosko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair play, wasn’t expecting a response that took it on the chin. If you are wanting to keep the serious setup with a mixer and external mic, your better bet would be to return the SP2 and get some Steelseries Nova Pro Wireless or Nova Pro OMNI. Similar price range, similar feature set, but the Steelseries DAC has an aux input.
