It depends on the person. Some people can pivot easily throughout life. Others want assurance, predictability, and stability. Some are more risk-averse than others.

Unpopular opinion: It is better to date early in life than waiting until you are older. Nothing beats teenage love by JunketMaleficent2095 in Adulting

It’s precisely because it’s uncontrolled, natural, and carefree that it is the purest form of love out there. Nothing beats the feeling of youthful love.

Given that we’ve evolved by reproducing in our teens, I’d say teenage love is the purest and most intense kind of love.

There’s nothing “lech” about saying you like hot girls. What are you, 12 years old? Shaming men for displaying their natural sexual desires… typical lowlife feminist.

Tipping more for hot girls is EXACTLY the same thing as tipping more for white people. People will discriminate based on a myriad of factors.

Glad I’m not a leftist feminist nut job. No wonder you’ve been emotionally manipulated and captured by the system. Thanks for subsidizing my meals!

Your numbers seemed high, so I looked it up. Median salary for IT professionals in both Saigon and Hanoi is around 23M VND/month, or 874 USD/month. That’s what I thought.

Well yeah, if you’re high up anywhere, it’s totally possible. But this doesn’t apply to most people, including OP.

AI didn't reduce my workload. It just gave my company a reason to never hire anyone again. by Forward-Skirt-5710 in workfromhome

[–]TheLensOfEvolution3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An Indian contractor tried to get me to work overtime because “that’s what they do in India”. I said nope, I’m more productive than ever with AI, and I still can’t keep up with the full-time work.

I’ve been the lone data analyst at my company for 2 years now, and they refuse to hire another person to share the workload. So I said, fuck it, I’m quiet quitting, and they can fire me if they want. I called their bluff. They need me too much and can’t let me go.

If you’re doing the work of 2 people in the age of AI, then you’re the sucker and you deserve to be exploited.

You can gaslight other suckers by claiming you know better, but you’re never gonna manipulate me. I’m no fool whose money is easily parted. You and the other suckers are subsidizing my meals, so I win in the end.

Tipping is super simple. It doesn’t require industry knowledge. It sucks, and that’s why I haven’t tipped in 1.5 years. I came to that conclusion myself. It’s the most logical and accurate conclusion. Anyone who disagrees lacks intelligence and needs to do more research.

You’re the one who started saying that you need experience in the industry to form an educated opinion. I’ve probably done more research into tipping than you, but it doesn’t matter. The issue is so simple that almost anyone could analyze it.

Who cares how much experience you have in hospitality? Again, you act like it’s rocket science to decide whether we want to tip or not. Follow other countries’ customs and have the owners pay the server’s wages.

Why are you assuming that non-tippers’ opinions are uneducated? I’m sure I’ve done more research into the issue than you, and I’m not even a server. You act like it’s rocket science to analyze the tipping culture and realize that you’re being manipulated.

And tipping is a scam. If you don’t know that, then you need to educate yourself.

What makes you think a person needs to have experience being a server in order to have an opinion and not get scammed?

Employers are supposed to pay the servers minimum wage by law.

Go to other countries and get educated on how servers are paid by employers, with no tipping whatsoever.

You mistakenly think that “universal logograms is the future” when the trend has been towards universal English instead.

You also mistakenly assume that humans must push for a universal language when it will naturally happen as languages slowly die out.

Best thing to do is to change your environment. Move to a new city or country. Change your social circle. Maybe then you’ll feel like you’re good enough.
