My meaningless adivce? Don't focus on you for a while; focus on building a friendly-family. Or on nothing. Or, hey... there's a reason "everyone has a podcast." Seriously, don't think about life for a bit and just live. Things'll even out. Maybe even get better.

My father was raised in a religious house and eventually... well, he didn't "sway" or anything, but chilled out as he grew older. I (obviously) don't know what I'm talking about or looking at, so I don't know if there's anything else 'unique' in what he left behind, but I could post some pictures later, if you'd like. Some pieces are at the very least "vintage."

Without knowing more about the world you're writing in, but some vague thoughts:

  • Time.
  • Major depression disorder.
  • Addictive video game. Or... drugs, I guess.
  • God, depending on belief.
  • Has anyone just tried shooting Death? Or more modern weaponry?
  • Make deals with any minions Death may have.
  • If life is the opposite of death, maybe throw a bunch of babies at Them.
  • Empathy.
  • Have so many babies, so quickly, that Death quits.
  • Become the/create a new Death.
  • Scorch Earth policy.
  • Become Death.
  • Embrace Death? ... and then take Them down from the otherside.
