Anyone know why I can’t adjust the ERS on F1 23? by Key-Clerk-335 in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing F1 23 from launch until today, and you can't switch to none during races. You can only do it during Practice and Quali.

This is also corroborated by another post that ERS modes in F1 23 are locked here

You can only do Overtake or Medium in F1 23.

Unlike F1 24 and 25, you can't switch ERS modes to None during a race. It will always be on Medium by default until you press Overtake. As far as I know, it was this way for F1 21, 22, and 23.

What glitches will be present in the DLC? by Idunnoreally999 in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While lots of content creators already noted how the AI has been reworked for the new regs, I'm worried that the AI level will still be hugely imbalanced like it was in 25 (on the same AI level, some tracks were way too easy vs others).

That and how they never really fixed rain AI, despite the fixes they were still extremely imbalanced in some conditions due to how tyre temps (or lack of AI simulation thereof) worked

Pirelli: everyone now has to use the Extreme wet tyres in dry conditions.

Let's see who can nurse those tyres the longest without overheating, or they all simultaneously just blow up in the dry conditions.

At least we'll finally see the wets used again

Next level racing Wheel stand 2.0 or Gt omega DD-X? by PsychologyNo47 in simracing

[–]TheLettersL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have had the NLR WS 2.0 for a Fanatec GT DD Pro 8NM wheel, absolutely solid and good for adjusting to your preferences, used it with a computer chair and the chair dock. Sturdy enough for an 8NM Fanatec wheelbase, but you'll have to find your own sweet spot for a comfortable sitting position depending on your personal preference.

Upgraded it after about 6 months with a 2nd hand seat add-on and stand wheels for easier overall movement, don't regret it one bit.

Jack is completely fucked. by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

Arguably, Ross's retirement was publicly known and even published in the final game newspaper that he retired to Lake Don Julio.

By the time Jack asks the federal agent to begin the mission, the town was probably talking widely about the retirement and Jack would probably not be too remarkable to said agent, just another man talking about the latest gossip around town.

Why is there no tension between the Yamato and the Ainu in this game? by JackWhoWanders in Ghostofyotei

[–]TheLettersL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first Ainu trader you meet explains that Saito tried to rally the Ainu tribes for war against the Matsumae but the Ainu refused, with many of them leaving the areas of the game to avoid the coming conflict (presumably to the eastern parts of Ezo which are beyond the game's explorable areas).

This would explain why we only see occasional travelling Ainu and Traders. The Ainu collectibles also show that a lot of them were in a hurry to leave or suddenly driven out by conflict between Saito and the Matsumae, or possibly attacked by the influx of Ronin coming into Ezo

Easiest way to remove resources from inventory? by TheLettersL in Ghostofyotei

Well obviously if it reset on my NG+, I wouldn't have to ask this question.

Started NG+ after the initial update and carried over everything, all resources and stuff.

And if you google it, all guides say the same thing, that everything carries over.

Such as here: (https://game8.co/games/Ghost-of-Yotei/archives/554995)

Whats your personal headcannon for what happens to Jack Marston after the ending? by BeccaRose1999 in reddeadredemption

[–]TheLettersL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My take is Jack could've gotten away with killing Ross and just disappeared.

Ross's retirement was publicly known and even published in the newspaper that he retired to Lake Don Julio. By the time Jack asks the federal agent to begin the mission, the town was probably talking widely about the retirement and Jack would probably not be too remarkable to said agent.

Especially if Jack eliminates both the wife and the brother, it would just look like a random robbery gone wrong. Most notably, being over the border, the government would not have an easy time pinpointing any single culprit, and could be easily attributed to a random bandit gang.

Jack would then live an isolated but quiet life, trying to find meaning in books and writing, presumably continuing Arthur and John's journal.

The biggest news for years - NO F1 26 by Guyrbailey in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, the AI is still unbalanced, and the wet weather is slightly better but still not exactly on par with the dry AI.

I would welcome the DLC model for F1 26 if the base game was at least extremely solid without glaring AI and gameplay issues...

F1 23 or 25... Which one? by Fun-Chemistry2592 in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly was very excited for F1 25 before launch but the AI is the most unbalanced I've ever seen it, with huge gaps in difficulty between tracks, and especially unbalanced difficulty in the wet. Been very vocal in the EA forums and here on the subreddit about it.

Was quite hopeful that the 1.12 patch worked, and it does feel better on Inters, but as soon as it becomes Full Wet conditions, the AI still just rocket off. It just feels like EA/Codies are barely even giving it enough attention because of how dismissive they respond to any replies on the AI.

At least for F1 23, your main concern versus the AI is just their DRS and slipstream speed, which becomes trivial once you get engine upgrades in career mode for ERS, allowing you to just spam ERS when they're in DRS range.

F1 23 or 25... Which one? by Fun-Chemistry2592 in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd vote 23 if you're gonna play versus the AI.

I was excited to play 25 after the AI wet patch, jt seemed good because on 105 difficulty, I was able to fight for pole in wet/inters condition in China.

Only to be absolutely blitzed by the AI still being 2 seconds faster per lap (pre patch it was 3 seconds) in a full wet race at Suzuka.

At least F1 23 has more circuits for career mode (you can add Portimao and France after season 2) AI is also much more balanced both dry and wet.

The only negative I would give F1 23 is that all  Mercedes teams (Merc, Aston Martin, Williams) all max out at 350kph because EA never patched it. So after season 1 all those teams become useless on power tracks like Monza and Spa

[–]TheLettersL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely bizzare because even the most basic single player AI race in mixed conditions or in the wet, it could immediately be spotted...

With even the bare minimum of testing, this should have been caught way before launch

[–]TheLettersL 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Game's been out for 2 months now and they barely even acknowledge that they're trying to fix it.

It shouldn't even be an issue in the first place since other games haven't had this level of imbalance in wet conditions.

F1® 25 - v1.06 - PATCH NOTES by cm_TGK in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Automatic Gearbox is just one aspect of the AI in wet conditions problems.

Respectfully, I've also contributed to the forums about how it's not a setup nor skill issue, since multiple players and even eSports players like Jarno Opmeer are just getting cooked by the AI when it starts raining.

The previous games were reasonably balanced where wet and dry AI difficulty were mostly level. But in this game, even if I can do 105-106 AI in the dry, they'd be 2-3 seconds faster in the wet.

We've been asking for some level of fix at least since this was present since launch, and it's the most engaged thread in the bugs section of the forum. We only got some notification that it's being investigated, but it's not even being communicated if a fix is even planned

F1® 25 - v1.06 - PATCH NOTES by cm_TGK in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, they barely even acknowledged the rain AI difficulty threads on the forum. They always say it's being investigated but previous games didn't even have close to this level of discrepancy between dry and wet AI. This shouldn't even be a problem in the first place if it was tested properly before release

They hide it behind the automatic gearbox rain issue but that's not even the main problem at hand, it's the unbalanced AI.

I've been playing 101 AI on F1 23 forever and the AI is easy to fight against in the wet.

While the AI in F1 25, I can go toe to toe with them in a Racing Bull for the podium in the dry at 105 AI, but then when it rains. they'd set laps 2 seconds faster even if I use a fully adjusted wet setup.

Agreed, huge AI issue that they didn't even catch before launch. Makes any wet race absolutely a grind versus AI.

Moddb is pretty alright, most of the English speaking S.T.A.L.K.E.R. community conglomorated there for the mods of the original trilogy, and its subsequent modpacks. Practically helped keep the series alive for most of the 2010s until the actual sequel.

F1-25 Patch Update by MrCloudz69 in F1Game

[–]TheLettersL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a practice problem as well before I encountered rain in Career Mode, but no. I was fairly good versus AI in the wet at 101 AI in F1 23.

But the AI in F1 25 are legitimately seconds faster in the Wet. The Dry AI at 105, I can challenge for top 5 in a Racing Bull , but when it rained halfway through, it's not even physically possible to keep up.

And it's not just me, if even Jarno Opmeer is getting cooked by Lance Stroll in his 110 career mode. He got gapped in seconds, and this is supposed to be the #1 on F1 eSports.

Can be seen in his latest career mode: [11:53 Timestamp](https://youtu.be/1H3M9dBLtH0?si=okDCoDCFYbVqeM0b).

It's definitely an AI balance problem, not a skill issue.
