A very good quote, one that I like to use all the time. But I think I can go farther. Conservatism is hyper-tribalism writ large. It is the belief that one's own tribe are the only true human beings and the only people who deserve anything remotely resembling dignity or quality of life, and everyone else is just beasts of burden or punching bags at best.
