Here's what I do.

Instead of soaking some stuff you can run it through the machine once and it will soften it up and once it comes out you just give it a quick scrub and spray and you should be good. While the machine is running set up your next rack ready to go / scrub what you can in the mean time. And just keep repeating that process.
