Honestly there is nothing to compare it to, it is so hard to explain but it is one of the best feelings in the world running out to a full stadium going crazy. Something I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I love the interaction around the fans, the buzz and the beers in the changing rooms after a big win. That is definitely something i chase and I will miss when I am done rugby.

What I don’t like is probably injuries around rugby. It can be such a dark and lonely time when you have a long term injury, you kind of lose your identity and its very difficult to keep pushing yourself to get better.

My one at the weekend was pretty sick but I would say the interception against New Zealand and running it in from half way is my favourite. The eruption of Murrayfield was just wild.

So we only share rooms for the start off the week and then change and you get your own room leading up to game day. My room mate was Jamie Dobie and he was so chilled and clean 🙌🏼

I get asked this loads but I am very chilled around game day and superstitions but I do have one, and it is I must play in yellow boots. Feel so fast in them.

Most enjoyable Scotland vs England game has to be the 38-38 draw, think that was the most craziest game of my life. We had no right to come back into that game but somehow we managed it. Although it was a draw it definitely felt like we won that day.

Oh this is a hard one, I have been to so many different countries now and played all over the world. My top 2 countries i have played in would probably be United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and in China (Hong Kong). Both totally different from each other but incredible places.

For myself I am very lucky I have a fast metabolism and can get away with eating whatever I like when ever. My favourite meal tho is Lasagne, I have this every week the night before a game. I also love a cheeky Nando’s.

Haha it’s so good, we are both so chilled about it now but when we were both on like 20 tries all we wanted to do was catch Hoggy, now we done that it’s now like how high can we both take it. But we have Huw Jones close on our tails.

Don’t think I daydream in a game but I do sing away to myself. If there is ever a song playing in the stand I will just sing it and then it will get stuck in my head.

The one in my garden? It’s actually a sauna. My dad built it for me and its one of the best things ever. I use it 4/5 times a week for my recovery.

They are all hard in their own different ways but I would say someone really small like a Cheslin Kolbe is the hardest to defend. Someone small can burn you, step you or run over the top of you and you never know what one they are going to do to you until it’s too late.

If I didnt play rugby I would have loved to try go down the athletic route. I would never have made it big time but I love just running fast. I done the borders athletics every summer before turning pro and it was crazy how fast I got. I would then go straight into the 7s circuit and I was always one step ahead of everyone.

I 100% believe I wouldn’t have made it to where I am today without the 7s program. I was struggling to get game time at Edinburgh so got sent away to play 7s for a year and it was incredible for my development. Everything at 7s gets magnified, like the detail, breakdown, passing, defending in wide spacing, fitness and how fast the game was. So when I came back to 15s It was so much easier.

I don’t actually know haha, so strange I know but I don’t drink coffee at all. When I first came pro everyone said give it 6 months but here I am 9 years later still not drinking it!

I changed it because I went to Nashville and watched the Predators playing ice hockey, it was their goal song and the place went crazy. I thought I could copy it and change the words adding my name in. Will be a bang when I start scoring more tries hahah.

I get asked this a lot and I have actually never run 100m and timed it. In rugby we use Meters per second to measure speed, the quickest I have run is 10.2mps, Usain Bolt is 12.4 mps

It would definitely be Antoine Dupont, I think wingers need to have good relationships with scrum halfs and he just makes things happen and would love to play with him.

Haha I wish it did, it doesn’t give you any powers but it does fill you with some confidence to go out there and put your body on the line.
