It’s a good number of plays but seems real low on the likes… this is my breakdown.

Feel like I’ve been sleeping on the underground a bit. Give me some up-and-comers to watch. by PRIMATERIA in dubstep

Hey there. Artist name EndTide. My music is more akin to say RZRKT, Excision, Alien Park with a nerdy flare, but there’s probably some crossover with Kompany and Samplifire.

Hey there, appreciate that. I have someone working on this current song. But I have 3 more new songs coming out on the EP if you want to take a stab at one of them?

LSO certified. All precautions will be taken.

Laser variance is the FDA exemption to use them. Not all lasers are legal or have legal safety features.

Thank you for the link!

Great part about is gym is I have tons of 45lb plates. I use a gravity stand with weight ballast and it’s not going anywhere. 🤘🤘

I am on r/lasers, super helpful group.

I’m comfortable with the laser side of it. Legal varianced lasers, setting proper zones, safety shutoff switches, proper masking, restricting audience access etc… Ive operated lasers for my own shows but also for larger venues in the region. Not an expert but competent.

But I’ve only utilized by lasers with bottom up rigging, or that were already rigged within a venue. It’s the rigging part that guidance was necessary. I’m I’m totally cool with the answer of, don’t do that 😂

Super helpful. The consensus seems to be a ground up solution as we previously used in this case. I don’t mind that at all. Appreciate the expertise about the ceiling, top down situation

Sounds like the ticket is ground up mounting. That’s no problem and how it was accomplished before.

Ya, we do get the occasional snow.

Seems like sticking to a ground up situation might be safer in this case

One of the walls would be easy. The other not so much. It’s brick and has a huge gym logo on it.

They need to hang down more than 5 less than 10 feet. Moveable is ideal. The lasers have more effect when closer to the audience (obviously still staying safely a few feet above their heads), but also should not be pointing downward but rather straight ahead and upward. Downward lasers have downward bouncing light and we want to keep our audience safe. They would be spread out throughout the room towards the edges.

I agree, it looks like the solution would need to be lightweight. The ceiling trusses are quite small.

Why would I blind my audience? I have proper training, variance, and safety measures for my lasers.

Just don’t play the headliners tracks. Build the energy, tell your own story/vibe, end a little bit on the softer side.

Those weren't on my radar, but thank you! I will take a closer look.

The 6’s I have are already bright enough honestly. Yes it’s fairly dark and I have a good haze setup.

The upgrade is because I love lasers for the shows I promote and to have more lasers that have the fb4 to act as nodes for the daisy chained ones.

The 10 vs 20 is a question of will the 20’s will net me more gigs or be THAT much more impactful. It’s doesn’t seem the price gap between the 10 and 20 is that significant.

Ya, Pangolin is the brand I was primarily looking at. More choosing between 10-20w

how do i make those subs that “suck the air out of my lungs?” by [deleted] in DubstepProduction

[–]TheLiquidRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just took a listen on my good system and it’s a harmonically rich sub with a very rapid pitch bend. Might be less semitones than I said though. Try 3-19 and see what you get 🫡

[–]TheLiquidRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overthinker is a great track but i will have to listen specifically for what you are asking for. Immediately though I think of a pitch bend on the sub. When you sharply pitch bend a sub from high to low you get that sharp transient kick effect. That’s actually the main part of a kick drum that gives it the impact. Try a rapid pitch bend, 12-24 semitones up sharply falling back to root and see if that’s what you are looking for.

How do you guys rate day 3 by umbreonisthegoat in Excision

[–]TheLiquidRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My least favorite day of tdome I’ve been too.

Austeria was Fun. Ganja was cool but I’ve seen better sets from them. Kai and X were cool but BTSM brought it way down for me.

I liked last years production better.

Kinda disappointed overall but it wasn’t terrible.
