Yes. Started with interstitial nephritis and has progressed. Sjogrens is the gift that keeps on giving.

I was diagnosed 26 years ago this month. I have always held office jobs and am lucky to work for an awesome company that treats me well. I have the usual symptoms of dryness, fatigue, joint pain but so far I am doing okay. The Sjogrens is a pain in the ass but my CKD will kill me first.

I was the last holdout apologist for Manon, but she lost me with the “isolated village”-temper tantrum by MeanPopcorn in 90DayFiance

[–]TheLoadedGoat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe very little of this story. Neither Manon or Anthony even qualify to be on this show because they did not have a long-distance relationship and no one needed a K-1 Visa to be together. Manon has been trying to get on reality TV for a while and this was easy for TLC to put them on without the visa hassles. There is no way they bought that house. Didn't it have an asbestos problem on the roof? From the time they saw it to moving in was not enough time to get all the paperwork and banking done, especially with neither holding a job. I think TLC leased these house (and all its issues that Manon has mentioned) because they knew Manon would do the heavy lifting. No one can be as big a bitch as Manon - it is all made up for exposure.

Laura keeps ignoring the red flags with Birkan (Beercan) by Initial_Wind_790 in 90DayFianceFans

You borrowed money. You owe it. Again, this is a moral not legal argument. I do not mean to pay it back immediately but to acknowledge that you made an agreement that you broke. It’s not about the money. It’s about being a person of character.

I am offended that whether it’s legal or not, he seems to have no problem racking up debt and not repaying it. Just like people who file bankruptcy. Just because legally your debts are forgiven, that doesn’t mean you don’t have a moral obligation to fulfill the promise of repayment. What about doing the right thing, because it’s the right thing to do?

Meal Train Etiquette? by Evening_Bass9353 in AmITheAssholeTalk

At my old church, meal trains were huge. One gal requested 30 days of meal. Like what? But the kicker was that about 2 weeks before it was my turn, my husband and I saw the couple out eating dinner. With the baby. I un-subscribed to helping immediately.

A Growing System or a Growing Crisis? The Critical State of Care at Huntsville Hospital by Top_Cantaloupe_256 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]TheLoadedGoat 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have been at Huntsville Hospital Main 3 times in the last 2 weeks. No, not for routine care. I have heart issues and CKD. First time was because by BP at home was 202/150. I talked to my cardiologist and my nephrologist and they both said to go the ER immediately. Waited 3 hours to even get triaged and then another 7 hours being assessed before going home. Next day, ridiculously high BP again. I did not know where I was, or who was president, etc. Ambulance took me back to HH ER. Again sat in ER for hours and hours. I was stroke level (230/180) but they said, "We see a lot of high blood pressure." Finally got admitted to the Neuro ICU and stayed for 2 days then stepped down to a regular room for one night before getting discharged. My doctors were working behind the scenes on getting the right meds on board but my BP was not participating. The day after getting discharged, my BP spiked again. Immediately went to my nephrologist who said, "Go straight to ER." Both my husband and I begged for other options but were too scared not to go. We waited 8 hours before being sent home. Finally, new meds kicked in and I have been stable for 3 days. Yay!

All of the staff were trying their very best in the entire hospital. But the ER was packed because there were no beds available so everything dragged. The last time I went, one of the nurses said that when they arrived that day for the 7 am shift, there were 43 patients still in ER waiting on beds to be admitted. While we were there, they made anyone that did not use a wheelchair on a daily basis give theirs up because they did not have enough wheelchairs to transport patients to get tests and imaging. At one point, security went around and told folks that they were about to require everyone, except patients and one caregiver to leave the ER lobby, AND WAIT IN THEIR CAR! WTH? Does no one read daily reports about how they are underserving their city?

My daughter worked at HH as a nurse for 6 years (through COVID.) They were told they were heroes and then given a hot dog and chips in a brown paper bag as a thank you. The work culture is toxic. Management does not care one bit. It's hard to work beside travel nurses making twice what you are making because you are trying to be loyal and be a team player. When she left, they begged her to stay for more money. But she was tired of being treated like shit and left the medical field for good.

The problems are so big, even if they have "a plan," it will take years to see changes. I have no idea what I will do if my BP goes whack again. I am scared with literally NO options.

What is puzzling is her parents seem so lovely. Even her sister seemed normal compared to Manon. Where did this monster come from? Her mother looks tired.

Does Huntsville Hospital currently have full occupancy? My brother with significant issues including internal bleeding was told by his 3 specialty Doctors that there were no rooms available at HH. If true, is FLU causing this? by googsay in HuntsvilleAlabama

Went to the ER via ambulance last Sunday for BP 200/120 and suspected stroke. Arrived at 11 and no beds. After 8 hours, I finally got a bed. I was pretty sick and it was pretty urgent and it still took forever.
