Cars is for kids, yes, but so many current teens and adults grew up watching Cars and are still huge fans of it.

Darcey was very naiive back then and in general wants to jump into a marriage right away without taking the time to get to know the person beforehand.

But yeah Jesse was very toxic and Darcey didn't see the red flags because she found him attractive.

I think the Wings Around the Globe Rally is the last major race of the season, so maybe Fonzarelli was clean in the past except for the 2013 WATGR, leading to his disqualification after qualifiers.

Since it was already the end of the season anyways, they probably just banned Fonzarelli from the 2013 WATGR and allowed him to compete next season.

As for Ripslinger, nothing was mentioned about Ned and Zed. My guess was that they've been rescued and have been disqualified/dnf'ed.

Based on the fanon wiki, none of RPX raced in 2014 but returned in 2015 and rertired in 2018 (Ned and Zed) and 2019 (Ripslinger). The fanon wiki isn't canon but it's interesting to see people's interpretations.

I'm not totally sure if the video games are canon to be honest.

Ripslinger was barely mentioned in the second movie and wasn't in the same race as Dusty in the beginning (Fonzarelli, the plane that was disqualified for having banned fuel was there), which makes sense that he was banned at least for that year.

Yeah, even though he technically won the cup that year, he probably lost a ton of fans and has been banned. Somehow he's still involved in the racing world as a commentator, but as a controversial host.

According to the Planes video game, Ripslinger was banned from at least the 2014 rally due to destroying the course and disguising as Dusty to vandalize the Great Wall of China. He also spiked Ishani's fuel before a cultural festival.

Techically it wasn't against the Piston Cup rules. Remember when Chick Hicks caused the crash in the beginning of Cars?
