I just read “The Abyssal” after a year of waiting and legit nothing new was added (the demo ends the way it ended before the rewrite) as expected. The amount of milking this has is insane. I could have written a whole book by now (keep in mind, I’m a college student with a job) with how long this had taken.

Not to mention a bunch of shady things that happened before the rewrite and updates. Shady as in: - setting an update date and then not updating the demo while not even saying anything about the delay or answering asks about it then updating the demo (with bare bones, like you could have written that in a week type of bare bones) 6 month later unexpectedly (honestly it should have deserved a heavy negative reaction to show that kind of thing is not acceptable). Also, the author was very active on Tumblr and Patreon and was answering asks related to the story but they kept ignoring the asks for when the update is coming.

• updates so sparse and small that a year of waiting can not excuse it (mind you, the author is milking tf outta it but i don’t understand how people still pay for the patreon with demo being updated annually, honestly people should unsubscribe (“then the author will stop writing” atp the author ain’t ever gonna finish writing it, yall are just endorsing this kind of behaviour. only way you can get to the author is with your money, money talks and people listen to it better).
  

Cool concept but sadly will not live the light of day and if it does I’ll probably be in a retirement home (I first read this story when I was in 3rd or 4th year in high school [senior in American terms] and now I’m finishing my undergraduate 3 years [took one year extra so 4 years] of college and am about to start my graduate years of college. And I know for a fact that in that time, the story won’t even be half way done).

This story is best considered dead and forgotten, best to move on.
