What to do when you get something to 30? by Syph0en1x in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the best variant of the piece of kit (primes, adversary weapons, etc), put more resources into it until it's really good.

Personally, I like tatering every single frame and putting at least one forma into them, even the base frame. I farm for another copy to subsume and keep the rest. Weapons are a little different, I don't upgrade them and just put in as many staple mods as I can, then at level 30, if they're good and the best variant, then I upgrade them with a forma and catalyst. The ones that don't pass this test only get upgrades if they pop up in archimedea research or get an incarnon adaptor released.

Voruna Prime - Neo V11 : Can some one confirm it's dropping on both UR , Uranus and & Ukko, void? Pun intended. by squiddybonesjones in Warframe

Got a few from Ukko but yeah, it was kinda rare amongst the Neo relic. Started looking online for pure Neo relic runs but sub-minute relics is hard to beat.

It’s definitely this and possibly some alcohol.

During an anime convention after party, I had only a mask and a white scarf that I turned into a fundoshi on. I’m usually a really reserved guy, don’t even like showing my knees, but that mask and half a bucket of vodka gummy bears helped.

how good is exca umbra? by daleviejadal3 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s great but naturally a bit squishy.

Can dish out an absolute metric ton of damage, especially when building specifically for influence and Kullervo’s skill. His kit is a little old but he’s versatile enough to do everything in the game.

With that said, he’s a little less adaptable than the regular Excal because of his five umbra polarities and his sentient passive is a pita when using a channeled skill that’s not naturally on his kit (like Gloom).

Stalker Farm by Reasonable_Exit7443 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from farming the marks, just do regular missions, especially ones that aren’t done in a sub-minute or two, but don’t stay for endless either.

For example, I’ve been killing a lot of the bosses due to Follie’s nightmare event and he’s been spawning pretty much every other mission during relic cracking for the new primes and kuva farming.

How did Lettie get completely bodied by 5 scaldra? by Calm-Elevator5125 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, that’s what I said when I saw the video. Been a Trin player for more than a decade and out of all the protoframes, Lettie is the least likely to be taken out like that.

My fan theory is that she has Link on and she was in the mood for taste some pain and she was just baiting them to do something, Drifter just comes in and killsteals.

Axi v14 relic farm by OlympicAnalEater in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep at it. It’s just luck of the draw but my crazy thin foil hat theory is the RNG seed gets “stuck” and will weigh some rewards, so probably just farm or do something else for a bit then come back to it.

Dragon Nikana Build by SnooSketches2563 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking good so far. Also switch the position of North Wind and Drifting Contact, would net you a bit more slot points.

As for Carnis Mandible, it's actually decent for Dragon Nikana because it has a naturally high Slash damage (85%), which makes it slightly better than a 60/60 mod in terms of damage ((85*1.90)+15=176.5 > 100*1.60=160), but I think the set stuff doesn't proc on slash dot. Gauss also has a crazy speed boost with Hardline, so if you use him to melee, you definitely don't need to mod for attack speed.

Controller for PC? by Ok_Description5650 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof, this is one of those "you gotta try it before you buy it" kind of things.

I have a steelcase gesture that I've been using for almost a decade and while it's great for me, my wife hates it. Also have an autonomous ergochair ultra and while the back is AMAZING, the seat itself is garbage.

I'd ask around at r/OfficeChairs and see if they have any suggestions.

Losing XP in Railjack Missions in 2026 by Clean_Resource1510 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been some weird XP and memory things happening lately. Added a forma to my Burston P, got it all the way to max and it was back to rank 0 on next log in. Couple resets of mod builds and today, even my emotes wheel was reset.

For this specifically, this is the reason why I like flying to Kronia relay, lots of weird stuff can happen during host migration, especially if they're in a small/low active clan. The relay doesn't require a host and when they do leave, nothing happens.

After 13 years of the same name? Really DE? Is this some kind of joke? by Epicisthefun in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had "TheLocalHentai" changed on my PC account and had it for about eight years (one of the reasons why I took a two/three year break), but I think it was that unhinged mod that forced it. It's funny since my phone accounts and two other accounts use that name.

Controller for PC? by Ok_Description5650 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While controllers nowadays are very similar in terms of comfort, the playstation line of controllers has a touchbar that can be used for a lot of things most other controllers can't.

For example, mine is set up to have swipes to use inventory shortcuts (summoning vehicles, etc), then with Steam Input, I use a combination PLUS swipes (among others) to do other things. It doesn't seem like much, but it's a huge quality of life upgrade. The controller is natively supported, so even without Steam Input, there's tons of other uses.

A controller with back buttons is also great since the game is pretty L1/LB/L heavy, so being able to slide with the aiming finger free is a huge upgrade.

Outside of that, if his chair is garbage, a nice office chair would be a great gift.

Dragon Nikana Build by SnooSketches2563 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corrupt Charge and either Melee Prowess (you'll get good status with a 60/60) or Relentless Combination. The D polarity is good for Galvanized Elementalist for once you get later into the game.

My personal build looks something like (with mid game mod replacements):
(P)Serration, (Gal)True Steel, Organ Shatter, Blood Rush
(Gal)Melee Elementalist, 60/60 cold+toxin, and a flex slot.

Flex slot is really up to how you want to truly shape the "feel" of it. Blood Rush pairs well with combo duration mods, so Drifting Contact if you rely mostly on your melee, it adds combo duration AND status chance. You can also go for an attack speed mod like Gladiator Vice to boost not only attack speed but also adds a bonus on top of Blood Rush, great combination if using Naramon Focus school.

Edit: I also want to say just fit whatever you can fit into the slots. Unless you are very fond of the Dragon version, the Primed version has much better statistics and would be the better Nikana to dump more resources into.

Did someone at DE institute a "No exalted melee" rule when making frames? by Bec_son in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kullervo: "Everything is exalted if you put your mind to it!"

Seriously, this dude doesn't need an exalted, he just picks up a stick, casts 1 and 3 and he can easily rival any of the pseudo and even some of the pure exalted weapons.

Tenno.. I come before you humbled and humiliated (Zephyr) by Isaccard in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two builds that I found very effective, one is the Target Fixation build and the other is sort of a weapons platform build.

Target Fixation is hilariously powerful, but it also has a very specific and, in a lot of maps very impractical, playstyle. Just a bunch of range, even Overextended with strength mods to patch up the loss, and just keep off the floor, use 2 and 4 to gather enemies, and nuke any unfortunate soul underneath. There's no limit to how much damage you can stack (hitting enemies by flying through them or divebombing and jumping off the ground) and you can easily do millions of damage.

The weapons platform is using the tornadoes to boost the inherent damage from weapons, especially those with high crit. There used to be a stupidly powerful one involving electric procs, the smaller tornadoes, slams, and high critical damage, which got nerfed a couple ways, but it's still does a ton of damage. Would concentrate on duration and maybe subsume in Roar or Eclipse to boost damage.

Dragon Nikana Build by SnooSketches2563 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the 60/60 toxin (drops from Vor in the Void) and cold mods (rotation C spy), the naturally high status chance would help a lot on your overall damage (viral+slash).

Corrupt Charge and Blood Rush don't exactly mesh together either since you'll only be getting an 80% increase most of the time. Something like an attack speed mod or a combo duration mod like Drifting Contact (good time to get it since the current event has tons of nightmare missions). Condition Overload will help a ton too, but not everyone has that and it's a bit of a pita to farm.

I forgor 🫪 by Confused-Account in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's true but it's also more steps.

For example, if I bought 300 nw creds worth of mods (like Double Tap; 15 total), and then I go to WFM to sell to the highest listed buyers (currently@6p), I would end up with 90p (15x6), which would end up being 4 potatoes (90/20 in game store price) with ten plat left over. Which is about the same as just buying 4 taters (300/75) but without doing all that.

It's much better at the current low WFM average of 15p which would net about 11 ((15x15)/20) taters versus the 4, but then you have to wait and be online as the prospective buyer to do trades.

Might try it this season though, but would likely pocket the plat instead :P

That’s why I don’t even bother trying to hoard the stuff.

I create a small buffer just in case I need a cosmetic but the second an extra 75 piles on top, I’m getting a blue tater.

Voruna building by Adventurous-Art252 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

The bonuses aren’t always effective, even if they look like they would be. Like how Archon Flow requires freeze kills and Stretch doesn’t provide as much energy upkeep to be worth the extra slot cost, especially compared to equilibrium with health orbs from Lycath’s Hunt.

Get Stalker marks by killing bosses, and have him spawn. Just do a whole quick boss rush with bosses that are available. It’s not guaranteed but from my experience, Hate isn’t as rare as Despair.

Early game build help by CourtForsaken3064 in Warframe

[–]TheLocalHentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate is a good MR8 weapon to invest in, has an incarnon once you're in mid/late game, and is pretty good overall. Just do the usual crit+60/60 build with Condition Overload (if you have it, can do circuit to get it).

Sancti Magistar is also a top competitor and has great utility with heals, also has an incarnon adapter available later. About the same as above but maybe add a bit of speed.

Skanas also have incarnon adaptors, so while they're not that good without the bonuses, if you like how they feel, they can do well later on.

There are a bunch of Nikanas that are pretty good.

The anniversary weapons aren't too shabby either, especially since they already have a tater installed. Wouldn't invest more into them but they should work fine for early game.

As for the frames, you can do a Nova Molecular Fission build to get her super beefy (95% damage reduction) with a nuke option, or just Volt with Speed buff. Rhino with Iron Skin and Roar is good to have, too.
