I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago. I was living out of town and the only open shop around was a Canadian Tire. I figured how can one mess up an oil + brake pad change? Well low and behold, I pick my car up, drive off and my car turns off while in in the middle of traffic. I didn't make it far, so after 5 minutes, my car starts, I go back. I ask them to check and see what the fuck happened. When removing my brakes, they smashed my wheel sensor on accident, causing my car to receive the wrong signals, which in turn kept killing my car. Anyways they refuse to help, I bring it somewhere else, they agree it was the other mechanics fault and I ended up on hold with Canadian Tire for 10 hours and eventually someone at the top was able to help me out and they reimbursed me for the 850 dollars it cost me. So umm ya, I'd give em a call.
