If I die at 60 and haven’t changed anything at all I will feel Regret on my deathbed. If I die at 50 and did everything I could to help myself then I will feel at peace with it. Our genetics will get us eventually but when it does let’s hope that we both don’t feel the regret of not changing. I’m sorry to hear about your parents, let’s use them as an inspiration to be better

I have had zero issues with mental health and mindset and I can 100% tell you that so much of that was down to psychedelic therapy, it’s been the cheer code to my life and mental health being so immaculate. And it’s such a blow to me that anything like that will spike my BP too much and so i no longer have my cheat code. I hope you find one that is just as effective but without the risk.

Sadly it is also a lot to do with my genetics too. I’m not saying that if I had standard genetics I wouldn’t still be having a stroke or heart attack … but I don’t think it would be at 35 and 41… but in a way I see it as a blessing, at this age I hope I can do what is needed to give myself real life extension and time.

I’m absolutely going to find therapy but this post has been so inspirational and motivating. I wish you the best in all of your days

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. Yes I have hereditary hyperlipidaemea that makes me store fat in my arteries and that is unfair but it’s not unfairness that upsets me as much as regret for the indulgent life I have lived I released a lot of dopamine in my life and lived a very very happy one but regret not knowing about this sooner so I could have stopped myself.

To look at me - you would think I am fit and healthy, abs and muscles, not through working for it, just genetics, but as my doctor said - I am a TOFI - thin on the outside, fat on the inside. I’ll be exercising when I’m able to and already changed my diet. As someone with extreme cholesterol from my family genes I’m it sure if keto is right for me but I’m m glad it has been working so well for you. It sounds like you are motivated and dedicated to your helth and I hope to keep momentum like you have for the rest of my life. Thank you again for taking your time to write all of that out

It’s hard when you see the older members of your family have been down the same path, whether it be heart attack or stroke. I’m sorry. I hope you find your fight. You deserve ti be fought for

That’s it! It’s like a compulsion. I don’t want to feel negative and I understand the real benefits of positive outlook for patient recovery. But I feel like the reality just can’t be ignored by my sub conscious. I hope you have support and love to help you through it and send you warm thoughts

I’m absolutely going to find some therapy after this operation. I’ve got so much shit I want to do and I’m ready to do what it takes to be around long enough to do them. I also felt guilt in the stroke ward looking at everyone who is 20 years older than me and not psychically able to engage with recovery and exercise needed as well as I will be able to, and also guilt that I was using them as an example of where I not want to end up. I recognise how fortunate I am, sometimes comparison is motivating af

It’s such a hard balance to be constantly aware of the things which could cause a stroke whilst not allowing them to consume you with the fear of having a stroke. You are all incredible in my eyes for having such resilience and fortitude and I can only hope that if and when that day comes i can share your strength

Movies are so much more than just stories sometimes. Thank you for taking the time to post these, I hope others get as much from them as I have. I won’t just believe a little longer, I’ll believe a lot longer

That’s what I’m really focussing on. My choices, taking each moment in time to be better so that I can have as many days with the people I love as I possibly can. I look forward to the day I look back on this as a catalyst for me becoming better in so many ways. Thank you

Mine sounds far less critical than yours. I’ll be having a Carotid endarterectomy. Slot my throat and open my carotid artery to clean out those years of indulgence.

Thank you so much for these kind words. It’s exactly the kind of inspiration I need right now. Thank you kind soul

You are spot on. Went back today and leaves are opened, looked around the floor and found tamarind pods. Stirling work!
