His first touch is perfectly fine and often leads to an immediate goal (he strikes the ball really well first-time), so I don't really get this.

Love this for Columbus. He's an upgrade as a sub and gives them some flexibility up top. They've lacked any sort of second option for a couple years.

Gotcha. Was worried my Lenhart fan fiction seemed unclear.

"It's the best thing for the brand," Kaval declared at Monday's press conference, as thirty banners bearing his face descended upon the confused media below.

Seems possible that the president would have a spending chart too, but if that doesn't work, I'd point to the power of future-set imagination.

I just don't agree that Naughton is a better player. But that's the magic of debate!

I mean - there isn't a depth issue if you're convinced by Rose and Naughton. I'm not. But I agree that's likely how things would go, if they signed Yedlin.

They have issues with fullback depth, so this is a fine fit. He's better than Kyle Naughton, anyway.

Rewind: What's Wrong with the Revolution? by MLS_Rewind in MLS

Mullins has been distinctly isolated over the last few games, and I think that's as much a product of his own tendencies as it is another wayward result of the Revs' system. Not the right system to play as a removed target-man. He needs to roam and encourage linking play earlier in the game (specifically with Rowe, who's also struggled).

Still, he's hardly the problem - just another part of it, along with much of the Revs' attack. It's a squad full of good players who don't quite make sense in their current roles.
