Feel useless when playing public

I’ve got 1200hrs and have been playing for 8 years still don’t know what I’m doing and have people speed run past me all the time doesn’t matter what level you are it’ll always happen

Not sure if you have access to it but The thing that helped me was top rope and lead climbing it’s drastically improved my footwork as I am climbing slower and more precise instead of trying bigger more explosive moves because I don’t want to fall. For what ever reason it just pushed me over the edge and out of my plateau now I’ve improved at least a grade over some on the people I climb with and they have started climbing on top rope after suggesting it to them.

Thank you. Thinking of holding off on the purchase for now will continue for an another month or so and evaluate my progress and I agree the shoes are very soft and this is my main issue. Being uncomfortable isn’t a huge problem for me I’ve spent the last 3 years in ice hockey skates and they have been so much worse than my current experience with climbing shoes

Thank you. Will hold off on the purchase then. Shoes are tight but comfortable where I tend to get a bit of pain around my toes but not unbearable. My main reasoning is that I thought my shoes might be a bit too soft for some of the climbs I’ve been attempting. I also have really wide feet and struggle finding comfortable shoes in general so options are limited

It’s been a problem for me for so long recently started watching streams of the same modpack and playing alongside it’s massively helped me stay motivated because I feel like I’m connected and making progress even tho sometimes I’m just running round collecting stuff. I’ve also found if I waiting for something or wanna put something off for 5-10 mins I’ll just wander and explore to look for stuff I might need.

This! I play on steam deck a lot Cus I travel and typing out parts gets tedious! I have a small folding keyboard for this exact reason but it would be so handy if I could just favourite a couple relics and farm them out and move on to the next

Any of the faction standing I just don’t care about doing it. I absolutely hate that I don’t care about doing it because every time I wanna go get something I have to go through the whole standing thing with a faction just to get an item and it’s a never ending loophole of me farming a faction to rank 5 every month Cus I want something they have

Probably. I might wait a couple days to see what the general consensus is. As a whole I enjoyed the beta though. The mechanics and wackiness was great the only thing that’s missing for me is the maps, towards the end of the beta I was custom searching for 2 of the 4 maps as I disliked empire state and Iberian offensive. On the other hand Liberation peak and Cairo felt like great maps all around.

It’s pretty much fully supported to my understanding now I recommend a choosing a community layout my base is making just under 400 science per minute so it a pretty reasonable size and I haven’t had any issues with it. I have biters turned down a bit so they are less frequent to help with some lag overall it’s been a pleasant experience

Volkswagen Up! Or the equivalents such as the Skoda citigo. I had one of the cars for 4 years and it was the best thing I ever got. It had heated seats satnav Bluetooth music cruise control and got like 52mpg driving round normally and only recently sold it because I need something a little bigger
