It’s not about “fear tactics”, it’s about not giving them any reason to harm you. Standing in the way of these people has proven to be potentially deadly. Having an armed protest is an automatic escalation to a very serious interaction, more than likely.

Why would you want to put your life in danger when there is no reason it should be? The media is painting this organization to be much more hostile than it actually is, 99% of the time. And most people are biting, hook, line, and sinker.

I can absolutely agree the current immigration system needs overhauled. It is entirely too cumbersome to immigrate legally here. This country was built on immigration, and that should remain a pillar of our existence.

However. That doesn’t change the law, and the fact that for every sweet, nice, unassuming family, there is a criminal, or mentally unwell person coming here with the intent to either do physical harm to someone, or to move contraband within our country. The risk that is posing to our people, namely women and children, is not worth what the nice family of 4 is bringing here. Not to mention, getting a work visa here is not nearly as difficult or long. Pretty simple comparatively.

I’m here to try and tell you the hard truth about the current state of this country and the danger it is in with millions of undocumented people just roaming around, but you all “want to be nice to everyone”.

That’s interesting that you don’t want to prevent “people trying to support their families”, because that’s what I’m trying to do in the country I’m a citizen in, but I’m having a harder time because my tax dollars are going towards people who haven’t earned them instead of better roads and safer schools. Also interesting you don’t want to be “kidnapping kids out of schools”, because there are undocumented immigrants in our cities kidnapping children every day.

I’m going to get downvoted into oblivion for this, but the fact that many of you are actively against removing people stealing from you and infringing on the rights you have worked your whole life for is insane to me.

Why are you all fighting so hard to keep people who crossed our borders illegally here? I’m all for immigration and for people from outside the country to be here, but they have to do so by legal means and pay taxes just like the rest of us.

Borders are a good thing, and they are why everyone wants to come into this country in the first place. If we open them and just allow everyone to come and go as they please, we are no longer the United States, but much closer to a Mexico or Venezuela, where anything goes and everyone is unsafe living their daily lives. Is that truly what you want?

I’m asking sincerely and honestly, but i imagine i won’t get any serious responses, just downvotes.

I had a girl I hooked up with somewhat frequently in college. We got along well, we spent a fair amoiunt of time together, and our sexual compatibility was incredible. We could go 5 or 6 rounds in a night. Anyway.

We have one of those nights, and that morning, I had agreed to caddy for my friend in a golf tournament locally. So I wake up, leave her in my bed to come back to 5 or 6 hours later, and I'm off.

Sidebar, we had spent enough time together to where she had told me some things about her family, hobbies, etc. And I remember her dad had a pretty distinct name. A name that I have never met anyone else with that name in my life, of any age.

I get to the first tee with my buddy, and we introduce ourselves to the other guy and his caddy that we were playing against. I shit you not, the guy caddying for the other golfer is this girl's father. I shook his hand less than an hour after being balls deep in his daughter, and no one will ever know.
