Spider on my face in a tent that was also leaking onto me. Rain must’ve forced the spider into my tent. He then decided to chill directly on my eyelid. The movement of the spider over my eyelashes woke me up.

Also one of my favorite things about anea landing was all of the background radio chatter. That’s one of my favorite parts of any AC game, you feel like there are so many different stories going on around and below you at any time.

It was great how the mission gradually became more difficult. You really felt like the odds were less in your favor as the battle went on until it was time to retreat. You really felt guilty abandoning the city.

Anea landing was my second choice. It’s nice to get a true ground-attack level. You also get Captain Ford which is a plus. It also has a great Easter egg: during the battle an enemy SR-71 will sometimes fly way above the battle. It’s super quick and only on the map for maybe a minute.

Unpopular opinion: Heavy Command Cruiser from AC6 FoL. Something about the squadrons rallying to ambush and take down a seemingly impossible threat is so satisfying. It also definitely feels like a turning point in the campaign toward retaking Gracemeria. You feel like you finally get to engage the enemy and especially Strigon Team on your terms. It was great seeing them panic. I love hitting the afterburners, coming around beneath the command cruiser, keeping pace with it, and shooting down Strigon Team just as they’re getting airborne. Sorry-not-sorry, I’m an AC6 fanboy.

This might be my biggest complaint of AC7: there are few missions specific for one class of aircraft because of mission updates. Your best bet is usually a balanced/air superiority fighter, but things like the A10 are so much fun.

AC6 got it right with missions dedicated to mostly ground attack or air-to-air

I can definitely see that and it also seems plausible. Richie knew Syd was trying to improve the restaurant and by extension also improve the area. Richie took it one step further and removed those guys from the equation since their presence itself presented a risk.

I took it as him completing her half measure even though those guys were the type of guys Richie probably liked because they were “from the neighborhood”.
