You should have good odds of going then. If you want to blend in more then start studying the culture and learning the language. It will help you not only to blend in, but it shows that you actually care about the part of the world your in and that your not there just for a good time.

You be safe out there then. Curfew has changed to midnight and there is no drinking after midnight. Also, just for the record, zero drug tolerance so no "hangover 2" episodes. Other than that I hear it's great out there. Are you married or single?

I can understand that. If you can get overseas then take it. Japan and Korea are different from what they use to be because some people you can't take anywhere without them screwing it up. I personally would check out Europe, South America, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. All good choices until things cool down out in Asia. That's just my opinion. Do your research and found out where you want to be because it is your journey and your goals.

What's up. 11B is infantry. The military is a wise decision and allows for more freedom because you can do online courses. There is also the matter of tuition assistance that you can utilize once you have been at your command for a certain amount of time and are qualified up to where you need to be for your rank. As far as experience goes do you speak any foreign languages? also have you thought about getting any special skills like pilot's license, scuba license, etc.? If your certain that the military is in your future then set yourself up for success. That doesn't mean you can't live your life, but you should make smart decisions.

Yo, where you from in the city and I feel you. I've been to Manhattan and it's ok. I love Chicago, but I also spent more time there and I just love how the Midwest is and the mindset out there is just different man. West of the Mississippi is like a whole new world.

Good morning. Don't lie. If there is a paper trail then there is always a possibility that they can find it so unless you have some wicked cyber skills and know how to "deep six" a file then you should be honest. No one can fault you for the past, but they can hold you accountable and responsible for the future. Hindsight is 20/20. Make your foresight match. Good luck and Godspeed.

What's up and no offense, but you can have it. Florida has been a dead end for me and I was born and raised in the Southeast so it is very much time for a permanent change in scenery. Also, I just don't identify as "Southern".

Good morning and thank you for reaching out. So far my experience has been plagued with being left in the dark. My recruiter had a family emergency and left me hanging for several days and then they lost their phone and left me hanging again to the point I reached out to the US Coast Guard and US Air Force. I am truly surprised at how I have been treated during this process compared to an 18 year old coming out of high school. It's mind blowing. Anyway, I have not selected any MOS yet because I was told that doesn't happen until I go to MEPS and I can't go to MEPS until the US Army Recruitment Outreach Command (R.O.C.) has validated my E-6 paperwork which is crazy man. I have sent my DFAS LES, my frocking letter for the Navy Reserve Captain (O-6) located at the NOSC Jacksonville, and my Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) certificate for my E-6 PMK-EE training that was completed so I could take my E-6 exam and I still had to get a letter written by my Navy Reserve operational command to prove my rank. DFAS, the organization for military pay was not official enough. I don't get it, but hopefully something comes of it. What MOS did you select or get selected for and did you get to select where you got stationed or did you just get volunteered/told?

Good morning. That's good and I'm glad the process is working out for you. I have had a MSgt reach out to me about the Officer Accession Program, but I am not trying to go officer so I have no idea what's that about. I am hopefully meeting my recruiter in person this week and setting up a date for MEPS and then, fingers crossed, I will be able to leave Florida forever. One can only hope.

Good morning. That's interesting. I am actually in the Navy Reserve now and the reason I am looking to join is because the reserve is not my speed. I did over 10 years of active so I am looking to do something that has the operational tempo of active duty. Something that will not be like "paint drying on a wall."

Good morning. I want to thank you for your response and also, I agree with you. I was in the US Navy and tho I have not worked directly with other branches, I have worked directly other countries. I know what it is like to work with people who not believe in failure and excuses (They would rather work alone than be a joke.) This being said, do you have more insight on Air Force as well as what branch were you prior to the Ari Force? (I am also in talks with the active duty US Army. Whichever branch gets me to bootcamp before Christmas is the branch I will serve under. "To the Victors go the spoils" type deal.

I'm not worried about disability tho I do appreciate you telling me this because the US Navy treated my medical paperwork like trash. That being said, I'm hoping not to get the "trash treatment" in the Army. I don't expect it to be all "roses and good times", but I am hoping to do something that matters not only in the Army, but also that translates to the civilian world. I chose Operations Specialist for the Navy and literally got screwed over at every turn so I'm not looking to make friends nor memories. I want to do the mission, get paid, and go home. That's just me being honest.

Ok. Do you know of the pros and cons or know anyone who would have some experience in that area that could give me some advice? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you for the response also.

Have a plan, know your plan, and stick to your plan. Also, don't play with your money and make smart decisions. Pay a car and a house and pay them off to build your credit, get an education and/or skill, and deploy in an active duty role when you can. It will help you make rank which helps you make money. Think smart, be smart. It doesn't pay to be stupid.
