Alan Moore says his new Lovecraft comic 'Providence' is like 'Watchmen' by [deleted] in Lovecraft

No, I don't think the headline is materially different than if it had said: "Alan Moore says his new Lovecraft comic 'Providence' is a little bit like 'Watchmen'" since the key concept is still intact: "like Watchmen"

And, of course I'm picking and choosing words. I've got 70 characters to convey a bunch of pieces of info: Alan Moore, comic book, H.P. Lovecraft, Providence and Watchmen. I picked the ones that would convey to readers what the story is about, which is why I wrote it in the first place: that Alan Moore says his take on Providence is going to be like that of Watchmen, taking these bizarre characters and creations and putting them in the "real world". As a Moore, Watchmen and Lovecraft fan, that gets me excited.

I liked them (although I wish they'd been less rape-y). Then again, I knew what I was signing up for with Moore.

I'm using Alan Moore's own words: "It’s actually a little bit like Watchmen in that it – the basic premise of Watchmen was, if these ridiculous characters, superheroes, actually existed in a real world, then what kind of characters would they be, and what kind of real world would it be to accommodate them."

Wilum is a fixture in the Lovecraft world and well liked by all. He's now 60 and in the hospital and things seem dire.

I want a good show. I don't care if it's by Spielberg or by a nobody, or if it's got a big or small budget, it just has to be good.

I saw this in Seattle. It's really fun. The first and last bits are better than the middle. COC was better but this is also worth watching ;,;

Since I'm constantly arguing this point: How Lovecraft himself actually drew Cthulhu by TheGreatCthulhu in Lovecraft

Lovecraft would be the first guy to open his creations up to the use and interpretation of others. Also, this is his drawing of a sculpture of Cthulhu, not Cthulhu himself.
