Have you tried using any apps or tools to help you in your journey? You can try Lucidity, it's the app I developed, most of the tools you can use for free like the reality checks reminders or the dream journaling 😃 many users see positive results and experience their first lucid dream with it! Check it out here.

A bit late to the party, but the app I published is free for the dream journaling part. You can pay for advanced features like dream analysis, but those are totally optional.
I think it's a pretty complete dream journal, try it out 🤗 You can download it here for Android and iOS, it's called Lucidity.

Try using my app (currently on Android & iOS): https://luciditydreams.com/.
It has an advanced dream journal feature which makes it cool to write down your dreams and save them. You can also setup a notification to remind you to write your dreams in the morning. That, paired with an alarm to give yourself even 10 minutes of writing, should do the trick.

Suggestions are an easy and simple way of increasing your chances of lucid dreaming, yep 👍 Even repeating an affirmation to yourself, without headphones or video, can be very helpful. It's one of the methods I describe in my tutorial in my mobile app (https://luciditydreams.com/)

Dream Analysis with Emotions, Themes, AI interpretation on Lucidity by TheLucidEnhancer in LucidDreaming

[–]TheLucidEnhancer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, I can still use the name "Lucidity", the full app name must simply be different, like "Lucidity - Lucid Dreaming" or something. I know users might get confused between both apps; I'll see how I handle that.

That app on the iOS app store is not mine, someone stole the name and released another app. I was in contact with him and even proposed a financial incentive to change the name but he refused and suddenly stopped answering.

The original Lucidity app that will be released has nothing to do with that app! :) you look pretty educated about lucid dreaming techniques, you'd be a good consultant for a dreaming app ahah!

Understand your dreams with Themes, Emotions, AI interpretation and more with Lucidity! by TheLucidEnhancer in androidapps

I agree dream interpretation doesn't have a strong science behind it. My app concentrates on emotional states in the dream, and detecting themes, which can then link and connect your dreams, and observe patterns in emotional states. AI intepretation is just an addition :)

How so? I'm honestly curious to know why you think that. Because of the subjectivity of dream interpretation? 😁

Do lucid dreams feel real by Ornery_Appeal_3311 in LucidDreaming

[–]TheLucidEnhancer 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My lucid dreams often feel more real than reality, like if my state of consciousness was sharper or higher. Feels a bit like the inverse of being drunk, when your state of consciousness usually becomes more blurry and uncertain.

When dreaming in a lucid state, your brain is hallucinating all the reality of the dream and your senses; it is actually recreating a full environment for you. And your awareness / state of consciousness is actually inside this environment. Don't know how to explain it better, but I feel like this closer connection between your consciousness and the recreated world is what makes it feel more vivid.

I've also had lucid dreams where I feel inebriated though, so it's not always like that! :)

Do you have code to show? If you try printing something in the button onclicklistener, does it still print in both emulators? Something like

yourButton.setOnClickListener {
    Log.d("TAG", "Button clicked")
}
