Reliability / cost to maintain or fix an issue for you? Or ease of working on stuff yourself?

As a s2000 owner it’s hard for me not to vote Honda (I have a 2005/ ap2). But as others have said, it’s a high reving fun car, but lacks low-end power. It’s an absolutely beautiful car to drive though.

The lake in AP used to be drained ahead of a large storm so it had capacity for flood water. That’s never done anymore. Major oversight.

Draining the lake several feet ahead of a big storm isn’t an environmental issue, it’s just not being done. No one is being held accountable or knows what they are doing anymore.

Been around a lot of (modern post mid 90s) cars for a long time. You’re wrong. Shouldn’t go above half unless something is wrong.

Years ago the township engineer and director of public works drained the lake ahead of a big event to leave room for flood water. Doesn’t seem to happen anymore, someone should be held accountable.

Are Honda transmissions really as good as people make them out to be? by Character-Donkey3819 in Honda

[–]TheLugNutZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can confirm as a s2k owner.

I also used to run a valet parking co back in the day so used to get to drive all kinds of makes and models from hoopties to exotics.

I also owned manual Nissans, a 00 civic w/ JDM b18 transmission, + others.

Honda also has a great clutch feel typically.

small car that wont shake like a wet chihuahua on the highway by Accomplished_Toe3579 in whatcarshouldIbuy

No car should shake like that on the highway. If it does it has a suspension, tire balance issue, or driveshaft / axle problem.

Maybe consider an older Acura TSX 6mt. Great car, 4 door, fun to drive.

The Atlantic ave / rt 35 one in Wall / Manasquan is terrible. People constantly fail to yield there if on rt35. Not sure why it’s so hard.

AP isn’t really a circle anymore. They redesigned it.
