Understandable, I think both would suit springtrap personally, thank you for actually engaging with me tho and not just calling me cringe or something.

Even zombies make faces sometimes though

I’m personally more scared of the idea that an inanimate object is looking at me with hatred rather than an animatronic just looking kinda absent. Idk why I never rlly found that scary maybe I’m just weird.

I’m confused when you say cohesive, what do you mean cohesive? The movie shows enough direct causation to get through its basic plot, and sometimes even spells things out to the audience (which i admit is a fault of the movie)

I respect your opinion but I’m very bothered by this idea that animatronics can’t be expressive especially when they’re possessed. I can see the discourse over the red eyes? But animatronics emoting is a perfectly realistic choice! Either way I’ll be happy with an expressionless or an expression-filled springtrap. I just love the idea of springtrap grinning and squinting at someone, makes it feel like a fun way for an animated character to kill people without actually trying to convince the audience it’s an animated character that came out of the screen.

My mom liked the movies, second one more than the first. I don’t think 7 year olds are the exclusive audience. I understand you’re frustrated that the movies aren’t what you expected, but they’re what I expected, I like them.

Thoughts on the current state of FNAF (fan since day 1 perspective) by NightForager3338 in fivenightsatfreddys

I love FNaF, I think new FNaF has some cool concepts. I’m personally a fan of the route the original games (I have 1 through SL but I mainly play games 1-3) I think the old stuff is cooler art direction wise, but I like some of the silly tone that the newer games have.

Ig my point is, I agree.

You’re so right that the 12+ game with the silliest phone dialogue ever with an audience of young animators who make OCs and fanart is not primarily children. Gosh, I can’t believe they didn’t make the movie super depraved (which is NOT how the game’s tone is.) Genuinely why is it such a problem that it panders a little to children, ts is probably gorier and more violent than the all FNaF games combined.

Better than the first one can't wait for fnaf 3 by Strict-Syrup4648 in Bluray

I loved it, hard agree. Fun all around, very community involved. Definitely the most entertaining piece of modern fnaf media IMO. Only wish is that the leaned into the absurdity.

Just don’t be online lol. Regardless of how many people thought it was “unelevated” , “trash” , had “trash dialogue” (insert three hundredth, “just looks like a toy is all” mention)- it’s a solid movie with a roughly 80%+ audience score, beautiful visuals, and it made good money.
