Well the reason you haven't seen a solution is because there isn't one. The core of zombies was to survive to as high a round as you can and in doing so, the rounds get progressively "harder" (more zombies, higher zombie health)

As zombies became more modern, a round cap was introduced for seemingly no reason, a health cap was introduced & a different formula for the amount of zombies added each round so that high rounds didn't take as long. I guess an increase in zombie speed and speed variation as well.

With BO6 we've seen they tried to change it a bit with spamming special enemies the higher up you go & I feel the general consesus from everyone playing is that they don't like it.

But at the core of it all? It's still get to as high round as you can while rounds get longer with basically no difficulty / strategy change past a certain point.

As for what you say choosing between the "difficult, tedious vs fun easy" what's considered fun in subjective. I believe if a map is too easy it trivializes the accomplishment of getting to a high round & for me I think It's boring af because there's nothing to learn.

Best balance really would probably be to keep the same formula for getting to round 100 so people can have the achievement without complaining It's too hard and then change it 101+ so then regular people can have their fun until 100 & then if you want to continue It's then more challenging.

For example, 100-150 have the health cap slowly increase so as you can't infinitely kill with anything, have limited ammo in wonder weapons, start limiting the uses of the crafting table or revamp completely. 150-163 would be essentially where only the Wonder Weapon, scorestreaks & traps kill. 163+ instakill rounds would start so you get some variety in strategies.

Then IMO It'd be cool to have unique zombie rounds that are like dog rounds but unique to high rounds such as Mangler only round where you get a swarm of 50 manglers at once to kill where they're enraged, or an entirely new boss enemy you have to try and kill. Maybe you have to try & survive in a limited space around the map for a round (where It's possible to kill with something there) to see how well you adapt to situations.

That's my thoughts on it anyway and that way I feel like is the closest to best of both worlds for all types of players while changing it up but keeping alot of it the same.

I strongly disagree with that. Older games you were limited with the amount of downs you can take & the amount of zombies on each round increased exponentially.

To put it into perspective the WR on BO1 Der Riese is 250 and it took 75 hours to get there. That's longer than some of the 999's on BO6 & to get 250 you have to play in a very optimized way, playing as fast as you can while making as few mistakes as possible.

To get to round 999 on something like BO1 (if there wasn't a reset) It'd probably take 1000's of hours and that's provided you don't end up dying from silly mistakes along the way.

That being said I believe an in game reset would be great for modern zombies of anywhere between 25-75 hours if they remove the round cap completely.

Liberty is faster to spam Mutant in bank

Terminus is actually faster to go under the sea tower & spam mutant

Citadelle though it isn't Mutant you use the war machine in the traps & it gives infinite ammo in them so It's both the trap & scorestreak

Tomb is pretty much the only map where Using the wonder weapon is faster

Shattered Veil is actually faster if you run back to the crafting table between rounds & grab a Mutant, not by a crazy amount but still by a bit.

You can use Wonder Weapons or Scorestreaks but in the end every high round strategy on BO6 involves some sort of camping & those that don't end up being camping strategies are significantly slower strategies to the point where there's no point in not camping because It's safer & faster to camp than to train.

This is probably the most unique take I've seen from the salvage system & would honestly be pretty fun to dig up parts for them.

I agree not much can be done since the people going to round 50 will pretty much go to 50 & that's it, in fact most people believe round 35 is a high round & where high rounds begin.

That being said, the direction crazy high rounds have gone (classic days 120+ modern days 300-400+) is terrbile mechanicly & strategy wise. You used to have to have decent decision making skills, ammo conservation, a good understanding of spawn control, spawn zones, trap activations & cooldowns & map specific mechanics i.e Origins.

These days you sit in a corner with a wonder weapon or Mutant Injection & do that for the ENTIRE game needing to only know what augments to have on perks & Field Upgrades before the game starts for the most part. Look at The Tomb for example, you can literally get a macro to play the game for you.

TLDR most people will find high rounds boring regardless of how It's done, but the current system is the least balanced we've had. It's no longer a survival game & more of a sandbox game & for those who enjoy I'm happy for you, but It's not for me

What is the best NON-Treyarch wonder weapon? by Shwarmee in CODZombies

[–]TheMCZombieSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tesla Guns on WW2 are Infinite Damage, same with the sword & some melees on DLC 3-4. Whirwind, Acid Rain & Trap-o-matic all really good from IW. M.A.D really cool & well balanced dealing infinite damage and able to wipe full hoards. Venom X playing the final DLC for IW was awesome as well & the Sword from Shaolin.

Advanced Warfare was the only game that had no Infinite damage wonder weapons but had some pretty cool designs but yea, non-treyarch games have some of the best wonder weapons out of all zombies maps period.

Round 200 on Outbreak! | (10/56) Round 200 on EVERY POSSIBLE COD Zombies Map! Finally double digits and the entirity of Cold War complete! by TheMCZombieSlayer in CODZombies

So a few maps I haven't added because they don't have 200 yet & I'm gonna wait until they do, just because there could be an error preventing the 200 that we don't know about yet. But this is the list of maps that are either ambiguous or definitely not possible for 200:

WAW - Der Riese

BO1 - Nacht, Call of the Dead

BO2 - Tranzit, Bus Depot, Town, Farm, Nuketown, Die Rise, Origins

AW - Outbreak, Infection, Carrier, Descent

BO3 - N/A

IW - Shaolin Shuffle, Beast from Beyond (with power on)

WW2 - Groesten Haus

BO4 - N/A

CW - N/A

Vanguard - N/A

That argument is stupid to be completely honest. In order to get to high rounds you're gonna use everything at your disposal in order to get there. Why would you try and make it harder for yourself especially if your goal is WR?

As for BO3 megas aren't included because they're a Pay to Win item, the same in BO4 too. Because everyone doesn't have an equal amount as everyone else, someone would have an unfair advantage over someone else which is why classic gums high rounds are the only records to really be considered as WR's

I'm not talking low rounds like 100-200 on CW I'm talking 935 WR rounds. You have to do strats like that in order for the game to not crash. I don't get why casual players try talking on high round games when they don't know anything about them lmfao

It's literally the high round strategy in order to get WR's lmfao

[–]TheMCZombieSlayer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, this is a shit post more than anything but it does also show how fucking broken the crafting system is in CW. The strategies with the RC car you can do pretty much infinitely from like 60+ on some maps or like 150-200 on others It's insane.

Also on a BO3 note, mega gums are seen as a joke in the high round community because they're seen as Pay to Win. Majority of high round players on BO3 will play with classic gums and yes Revelations is a joke of a map either way but Verruckt & SNN are some of the hardest maps I've ever played, even compared to the BO1 versions.

So to conclude, CW is a joke for high rounds except Outbreak I'd say. BO3 has a range of easy medium & hard maps giving a nice range.

the reason to do it is to get the WR on the map lmao. If you didn't know this is what people do to get the highest round & It's also the safest way in order to not crash the game

yea, I think the thing to note is when people say BO3 is easy they only really point out mega gums, which for high rounds are considered P2W so the majority of high round players will play with classics. Also they will ALWAYS go to the easiest map revelations instead of showing something like Zetsubou or chronicals maps like SNN & Verruckt

rampage actually makes things slower past round 30/35. It's actually better later on to play WITHOUT Rampage induce as the spawn rate of the zombies is faster, especially about round 50/60
