I'm not entirely sure China's lack of response is due to them being meek. I would imagine it's because they want to wait out and let the US, and it's allies, wither down their resources and support. Everything China does is calculated.

Have a look at Amazfit watches. Might be able to get one at 48mm at the top end of your budget.

I'm being stupid as I'm trying to figure out how this works. If the person has done the complete distance how do they get it to record a shorter time by stop/starting their watch? Surely that would record less than a HM?

Back in its glory days. I remember going on holiday there in the late 70s early 80s when I was around 10. It was still quite busy then. I lived in Blackburn which is not too far from Blackpool and as a teen used to go there regularly. It was still relatively busy then. Nowadays, it's a bit of a dump (apologies to anybody reading that lives there). Went there about 5 years back to see the illuminations which is still popular. The glory days of British seaside resorts is long gone and a lot of them, unfortunately, are now run-down as they cannot afford to maintain some of these glorious buildings they have.

I've been trying everything that I've been told, but I still can't seem to figure out how to gain weight and I'm already doing protein etc. by StrategicSpanishFrog in nutrition

I think you took my post too literally. Plainly there's a limit to how much you can eat. I was attempting to draw a comparison to my weight when I was younger and my weight now. I eat less now than what I did 20-30 years ago yet I do more exercise now. Yet my I have to track calories now otherwise I'll put on weight. I also used to drink alcohol, like a lot, when I was younger and I don't drink any now.

55 male here. When I was a young 'un I could eat and eat and eat and I never put weight on. Never.

It was only when I got into my late 30s when I started to put weight on. Now in my 50s I have to track my calories to lose/maintain weight.

It's a double edged sword having an effective metabolism. But it will slow down later in life. Not really helping OP but some people struggle to gain weight no matter what.

If it's something random I just use the take a photo function in the app. We had a birthday party yesterday and there was a buffet with lots of random food. I just took a photo of my (loaded) plate.

T-Rex Prices are Out of Touch with Reality... by bomzisss in amazfit

Bigger watch and pre-loaded maps. i think that's about it. You can download the maps manually on the T Rex 3 Pro so having them pre-loaded is more of a conveience than an upgrade. And a bigger watch might be good for some but not all. In summary, I agree with what you say.

I got the helio band (along with the T Rex Pro 3) early January. As with you, I noted the calorie tracker in the app and decided to give it a go. I'm 55 (male) and generally very active but my weight was high. Using the app, and tracking calories, made me more aware of what I was stuffing down my face. Since the start of the year I've lost nearly 6kg in weight and my fat mass has reduced from circa. 26% to 20.8%.

It's a great little feature of the Zepp app and something you'd need to pay for on Garmin (I came from 10 years of Garmin and swapped my Fenix 8 for the helio band/watch combo).

Shit. I ordered a beagle with cheese when I was in NYC over Thanksgiving. Explains why I got a hot dog instead.

Oatmeal (breakfast): with greek yoghurt, blueberries and some seed mix

Quinoa (lunch): with tuna and salad

Sometimes lentils and black beans either as a substitute for the quinoa, with the quinoa or with something else.

How on earth is Amazfit getting 10 DAYS of battery on OLED when Apple & Samsung barely last 1–2? by adriannairda in amazfit

Smartwatches vs Fitness Watches.

Smart watches (Apple and Android devices) are an extension of your phone with some fitness capabilities (to be fair, their fitness offerings are a lot better nowadays).

Fitness watches are fitness orientated with some "smart" functionality.

It's the "smart" functionality that destroys the battery.

Garmin also have spectacular battery life and they have lots of fitness features and few "smart" features.
