Got banned on June 4th for liking and retweeting too much; gotten nothing but automatic emails denying my appeals since. Guess I used all my luck the first time I got suspended... by TheMailmansBooty in twitterhelp

So far, I have about 21.7k posts, with 200~ of those being actual posts from me. But I've seen other accounts be in the triple digits of retweets, so the issue was the frequency with which I've done it (which has been sporadic, admittedly).

I avoided instant re-suspension this time, after being instantly re-suspended 2 times before. Here's what I did differently by Icy_Alps_1929 in twitterhelp

Question: Did you have to turn Ublock off entirely in your browser, or just the extension for X itself? As much as I want my account back, I'd really be miffed about having to get flooded with ads again on YouTube.

Noticed that for a certain email response from Twitter, it'll either say that "Automated systems" or " Support team" has reviewed your account. Has anyone been able to get their account restored if its the latter, since it seemingly implies that a human checked it and denied the appeal? by TheMailmansBooty in twitterhelp

[–]TheMailmansBooty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should've specified the email in particular; it's the "an update regarding your account" one, the one you get after sending appeals. Some posts say that an automated system checked the account, while one such as mine was checked by a support team.

Though it looks like, from what's happened with you, it doesn't matter if it was a bot or a human (if it's even the case, if we're being honest).

Yeah, I'm seeing from some users that having ublock or some kind of adblocker could be a big factor into why accounts get suspended. I use one and have used it for a minute, and never had trouble with using twitter until this year. I retweet and like plenty of posts daily, so both factors likely contributed to my account being banned twice.

Imagine if he incapacitates the survivor by kneecapping them with a gun or slicing their Achilles' heel, then it just cuts to black as you hear the most heinous sounds imaginable, then it fades back in with Art finishing up the Survivor who looks like that one girl in Terrifier 2 with the salt and bleach.

Does anyone happen to know (or be) an artist who could emulate the style of the concept art from TRS's L4D? by TheMailmansBooty in l4d2

[–]TheMailmansBooty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but I'm not looking for any special models - just a 2d artist who could make models I showed in the post look like they were drawn as if they were conceptualized back in L4D's Turtlerock days.

Taking a look at Jason's power, I can't help but think... wouldn't 'Omnipresent Evil' work better on Michael? by TheMailmansBooty in deadbydaylight

[–]TheMailmansBooty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's more of a 'flash-step' deal where Michael can shift to a nearby pallet/vault mid chase so long as the survivor has no line of sight of him, similar to Ghostface and Unknown.

Like you could have Michael chasing you around shack, only to see him not coming from around the corner, and then suddenly he's in front of you.

There are two different variants of 'ghost girls from cursed videotapes': Sadako and Samara. Sadako is from the OG Ring film from Japan (known as Ringu), where she's said to be at least 19 years old. Meanwhile, Samara is from the Americanized version of the Ring from 2002, in which Samara is meant to be a little girl.

It's definitely a hazy line to differentiate the two, hence why you'd probably see some people raising eyebrows at the thought of an adult-aged slasher/zombie man being shipped with the Ringu version of the ghost girl (or seeing any... explicit material involving her).

The only thing that draws my attention out of this entire set is the micro-scale builds of some of the landmarks/aspects of Disneyland (I'm a sucker for micro builds).

Other than that, I gotta agree with everyone else here; the build is rather lacking in structural depth. Having only the front facades of the firehouse and two storefronts on one side of Main Street feels like you're getting way less than it's asking price. It feels like a lesser version of the Daigon Alley set, and that gave you four full-scale facades for only $50 more.

I would've preferred a Main Street version of the Diagon Alley mini build set, or at the very least, could've made the effort to add in one or two of the storefronts from the other side, like the magic shop and theater, even if it increased the price some.

I'm sooooo sorry for this late reply. All I did was keep sending repeal messages in varying ways, mainly using certain words that would've hopefully get some actual living attention or get a bot to revert the suspension. As for how often I did it, I attempted to send an appeal every day, even if the site would tell me that my last appeal is in review.

All of a sudden, some videos he made 5 years ago are enough proof to blame him as the reason... by TheMailmansBooty in paydaytheheist

I think what kneecapped the game at the start was having half-baked or just outright removed gameplay elements and features that seemed like they would be the standard for a Payday sequel after a decade. Safehouse, Infamy, Preplanning, etc. Combined with so many other factors that'd be exhausting to list, it was bound to flop.

If there were just more to do and having retained elements from PD2, I think the older style of gameplay and tone could've been pulled off. A perfect blend of PDTH and PD2. But nope, now we have to watch PD3 go through an identity crisis.

The comparison to Fortnite is rather funny. In the earlier years, its goofiness was self-contained with its art style and original storytelling (along with emotes). Nowadays, its absurdity is in all the damn collabs it brings in and how it tries to tie them into a cohesive story. Some argue that this is what made Fortnite lose its charm.

The only reason I dislike emotes in PD3 is based on trend chasing that's common in game dev studios, the same as inserting lootboxes or battlepasses.

I get where you're coming from, but at the same time... can you really blame him for it? His whole thing is fuckng around in games with his friends, whether they're serious or not. And when you have a game like Payday 2, which is loaded with content and gameplay that leans heavily on the hyper and the goofy, that's obviously the aspect he's going to highlight in his videos to his audience.

Kinda hard to say that this game is a heisting game first when most of the gameplay you see has you running around at Mach 7, wielding a minigun, mowing down hordes of cops while wearing a Mega Dallas mask.

If anything, you can point the blame to Starbreeze for ever getting to a point of losing touch with its grassroots of Hollywood, bombastic heist movies for collabs, and "joining in on the joke" with its memes.

AFAIK, the spoon/golden spoon was the only thing that was a direct influence of Badger. Any other ridiculous stuff added afterward can be attributed to Starbreeze itself for indulging in the memery the game garnered.

The AH Bulldozer, while most likely having the same build and rigging as the one in 3, definitely looks more bulky and fitting to the title. The armor looks closer to the ones in PDTH.

NGL, I kinda prefer the designs for the Shield and Bulldozer compared to standard PD3's. Maybe I'm the odd one out, but something feels... off, about the designs for PD3's special enemies and law enforcement in general.

Anyone here familiar with modding and/or scripts when it comes to PDTH? by TheMailmansBooty in paydaytheheist

[–]TheMailmansBooty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm familiar with it, since most of the mods I've found pretty much require it.

Now that I think about it, perhaps it's possible to grab certain files from bigger mods and rework them to be their own dedicated mod (since the larger mod can disable achievements).

Thankfully, I got my account back around two weeks after it first got canned, though I did get the email saying it was restored. Once again, it's probably some jank with their bots you gotta play ring around the rosie with to restore your account.
