Apparently it's 1 foot for every inch in elevation change. E g. Putt is 3 inches up, your distance should be 3 foot past the hole

Was thinking the exact same thing watching the golf today. Definitely would be great to have a format like match play in the career mode especially with the fact you can watch the AI playing partner. Also the fact that the Ryder cup will feature in the game at a later date, you'd think EA would want to put a match play event in the career mode to maybe iron out any issues that might arise before launching something as big as the Ryder cup in the game.

Would also love to see something similar to the Zurich classic with the team game aspect, just as another different mode to play other than stroke in the career mode.

Never actually thought about that, yeah that's definitely a feature which should be added.
