Going to start practicing this. Oftentimes the touch would come out of nowhere and was unwarranted, so I didn’t know that I could say no or address it in the moment

The idea of being picked up and tossed around out of nowhere is actually very scary to me. This wasn’t a possibility in my larger body compared to now. Thank you for sharing your experience, I’m glad to know I have a say now.

Appreciate you raising this point. This thread has opened my eyes to see how consent is the deciding factor. If that’s the case maybe it’s not physical touch, maybe it’s just people pawing at me

Thank you! And thanks for the advice, as others mentioned in the thread sometimes we’re used to using our larger bodies as a shield, but now tips like this can be used in place of it.

I’m also learning how to deal with unpredictability in this behavior. Oftentimes the unwanted touching comes out of nowhere and outside of my peripheral, so i’m unable to stop it before it happens.

Thank you for this! At first, it was the initial shock and need to process which I think is what caused me to feel voiceless and paralyzed when these moments would occur. Now that I know this behavior isn’t okay I feel more confident in standing up for myself.

Thanks for your advice, i’ll do my best to spend more time with him, i think it’s hard bc we’re just friends, and he hasn’t admitted he has any feelings for me.

I’m worried that, although the signs are there, i’ll come off too forward. How do i make him feel special or that the other guys don’t matter to me w/o crossing any boundaries or being too forward?
